Rosemary Stirling won 800m Gold at the 1970 Commonwealth Games for @Team_Scotland and her 2:00.15 PB from 1972 still ranks 7th in the @scotathletics all time rankings! Shows the calibration of the athlete she was and nice to see her grandson performing at a high standard in NZ.

Meet the Ruthes – the rich running pedigree in the family 🏃 With a 3:48.88 mile at the age of 16 and a myriad of other age group world records, Sam Ruthe has made global headlines so far this season. His younger sister Daisy has also excelled in the middle distances and their parents, Ben and Jessica, were both New Zealand track champions. Sam and Daisy's grandparents are none other than Trevor Wright and Rosemary Stirling. Wright finished on the podium at both the London and New York City Marathons, while Stirling became Commonwealth 800m champion at the 1970 Games in Edinburgh. 🖊️ @TimAdams76

Tip for novice runners: You do not need to carry/drink water on most of your runs.
As long as you're hydrated going in, you'll be fine. You don't need water on a 60min run.
Save lugging around hydration stuff for long runs.
