@ipatents @AnnaBower No. She should be disbarred immediately. Someone is IN PRISON over this case, and their motion for a new trial was denied USING THESE CASES. Lawyers who are lazy and stupid enough to use AI to write briefs do not belong in the profession, period.

@AnnaBower Unpopular opinion: withdraw the cases and move on. No deceit alleged. This is AI growing pains. Turning it into discipline theater is a witch hunt. The bench should adapt by focusing on prompt correction, sensible AI use expectations, and proportional responses.

@SexIndustryResA An "odds ratio" is by definition a loose correlation, not a casual link. Even assuming I agree that these odds ratios are accurate or realistic, which I do not, at least until I have the time read these studies. But good try though!

If you only look at the “clippable moments” this case looks really stupid, but I’ve actually looked at the complaint, the motion papers, and honestly, I think it isn’t really as offensive as it seems. My initial instinct was to be revolted by the case, but the more I look at it the more I don’t have a huge problem with it
