Today, LNG tanker Yakov Gakkel arrived in France carrying Russian gas to supply the "unfriendly" country through their energy crisis under long-term contracts that Russia still honors.
Yesterday, France seized the tanker Deyna in the Mediterranean, coming from Murmansk, on “ghost fleet” charges — the third tanker they’ve taken.
On March 10, Bryansk was hit with UK/French Storm Shadow missiles. Eight civilians were killed, 36 injured.
Russia provides energy to France, which produces and supplies weapons to Ukraine, generating billions for Moscow to keep fighting. A grotesque world we live in.

The Iranian theory of the war boils down to "everyone else has a lot more to lose than we do".
A question that should follow: what if that's true, but it doesn't end up mattering on a timetable that's helpful to the regime?
There's a scenario in which the world staggers out of this with a prolonged energy crisis that does enormous damage to the global economy *and* things end very, very badly for the regime and Iran as a whole.

The GCC states have *worse* strategic depth than Israel does, by a lot. It takes Iran only a couple of SRBM salvos to completely render a Gulf Arab country unlivable and/or economically unviable.

They absolutely cannot enter the war against Iran. They have zero interceptors left, and their dysfunctional militaries are just a drop in the bucket compared to the Americans (and they're using American tech, so they don't bring anything qualitatively new).

BREAKING: The Israeli Air Force cannot even correctly identify what it is targeting and destroying. What the Israeli Air Force destroyed at Sanandaj Airport was a Bell 214A Isfahan utility helicopter belonging to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, not an Mi-17.
Even if it had been an Mi-17, it would still have belonged to the Red Crescent Society. There is no military base at Sanandaj Airport.
The Israeli Air Force is striking whatever it can and labeling it as an IRGC or military asset to justify its actions.
This Bell 214A was in use to provide emergency medical services for Kurdistan Province and had been deployed from its home base at Qazvin Airport to Sanandaj a couple of months ago, replacing an Alouette III of the Iranian Helicopter Services Company that had previously been based there to carry out aerial medical services for the province.
This footage show the same helicopter almost eight years ago.
