We are seeing the importance of being in stocks that are in theme. Whether it’s $MP $BE $OKLO $IONQ $RR etc. there is one common thing about all of these names. They’re all in hot themes. Rare earth minerals, data center energy, nuclear energy, quantum computing, and robotics are arguably the five hottest themes in the market right now. It is not a coincidence that these five stocks listed above have seen monster moves nearly one after the other. I would rather pay up to be in the leader of a hot theme vs. “get a deal” on a stock that isn’t in theme. Being in stocks that are in the right themes is arguably the most important thing a momentum trader can do. News, headlines, deals, etc. are much more likely in stocks that are in theme which leads to bigger moves and bigger ranges. Thematic momentum stocks are often the best stocks to trade in a bull market.
