We have fought an extremely difficult election where nearly 30 lakh genuine voters were allegedly disenfranchised from the electoral rolls. Throughout this entire process, we witnessed what we believe was deeply partisan conduct by several government agencies as well as the Election Commission of India. Democratic institutions that are meant to function impartially appeared compromised, raising serious concerns about the fairness, credibility and transparency of the electoral process in West Bengal. From the counting process to allegations surrounding the handling and movement of EVMs, Mismatch of Control Units, several disturbing incidents have left millions of people questioning whether the true mandate of the people has been respected. I have already demanded the release of CCTV FOOTAGE FROM THE COUNTING CENTRES and a transparent counting of VVPAT slips so that the truth can come before the people and every doubt can be addressed openly and honestly. Democracy can only survive when electoral institutions inspire trust and confidence among citizens. Unfortunately, what we have witnessed has deeply shaken that trust. At the same time, reports of post-poll violence, attacks on party offices, intimidation of our party workers and threats against supporters are deeply alarming and unacceptable in a democratic society. Many dedicated Trinamool workers and supporters who fought tirelessly on the ground have allegedly faced targeted attacks and have been forced to flee their homes out of fear and insecurity. No political worker in a democracy should ever have to choose between their safety and their political beliefs. Keeping the democratic traditions of this great nation above everything else, my colleagues and I in the Trinamool Congress will continue to stand firmly with the people of West Bengal and with every Trinamool worker who fought tooth and nail against what we believe was a compromised electoral machinery. We will continue to be a strong, vocal and uncompromising opposition both in Delhi and WB. Under the guidance and leadership of Mamata Banerjee, our fight for democracy, constitutional values and the rights and dignity of the people will continue without fear and without compromise. I urge every Trinamool supporter and worker to stay strong and united during this difficult time. If anyone has been subjected to post-poll violence, intimidation, or threats, I request them to reach out and share their details with me or DM me. I will do everything within my capacity to ensure their safety and security and pursue every available legal and democratic remedy. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with every Trinamool worker and supporter in this fight to ensure that truth prevails and that both governments now work genuinely in the interests of the people of West Bengal. Jai Bangla! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

WHY IS EVERYONE IGNORING THE GLOBAL SHIPPING BOOM? SCI Just Broke the Market Global supply chains are in chaos, but for the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), it’s printing money. Here’s why you need to pay attention. SCI's quarterly net profit just exploded by over 5X to ₹405 crore, with EBITDA margins hitting a massive 42%. Annual FY26 profits have soared to ₹1,326 crore. Meanwhile, the Drewry World Container Index, just rebounded to $2,286 per 40ft container, driven up by transpacific rate hikes and ongoing Middle East tensions keeping the market highly reactive. Remember that highly anticipated SCI privatization plan? The Government just slammed the brakes. With the Red Sea crisis and global trade disruptions, India realized SCI is a vital strategic asset needed to secure energy and trade flows, not just a quick cash grab. Instead of selling, the Govt is pumping capital into SCI via a ₹25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund to aggressively expand its fleet. SCI is already floating bids for 4 next-gen methanol dual-fuel Aframax tankers worth up to $340 million. While private rivals like Great Eastern Shipping boast better return on assets, stronger profitability, and lower P/E ratios, SCI is riding an undeniable wave of sovereign backing. The market is giving SCI a premium valuation because when geopolitical turmoil meets massive state-backed fleet expansion, you get a perfect storm for growth.

Strong Breakout Candidate! #SCI • Tight Range BO • Strong Relative Strength • Holding up-well 📊 Fundamentals: • Strong asset base with diversified fleet across segments • Improving cash flows during favourable shipping cycle • Government backing provides stability • Earnings linked to global freight rates & trade flows 📈 Growth Drivers: Rising global trade, tight vessel supply, and potential strategic disinvestment unlocking value. 💡 SCI = Shipping cycle play + asset-heavy PSU + potential value unlocking trigger.

Modi is past 75.
Sansiddh Jain@sansiddh

MK Stalin is 73 years old. He will be 78 when the next Tamil Nadu elections are held in 2031. Suffice to say, he will probably not be CM ever again. Pinarayi Vijayan is 80. Will be 85 in 2031. Even if the Left continues to be a dominant political force in Kerala (it has been declining precipitously in India), he will probably not be CM again. They join a long list of stalwarts of South Indian politicians who have probably served their last day in the CM's office, or are serving their term and will find it hard to get re-elected. - KCR (K Chandrashekar Rao) : He is 72. He will be 75 come the next Telangana elections. Even if BRS manages to win that election, expect him to groom KTR to take over the reins very soon into his term. - N Chandrababu Naidu : He is 76. Will be 79 during the next state elections. Even if TDP wins, will be very hard for him to serve the full 5 years from 79-84 years of age. Expect him to hand over the reins to Nara Lokesh in the next term. - BS Yeddyurappa : He is 83. BJP will go gung-ho to win the 2028 elections in Karnataka come what may, but they are not going to back an 85 year old as CM face. He has had his fair share of conflicts with the BJP high command, so expect him to be pushed to the sidelines as well. - Siddaramaiah: He is 77, going to be 80 by the time of the next elections. DK Shivkumar is dying to be CM of Karnataka, and he would have been had it not been for the Congress high command. He is also going to be "sunsetted" by the time the next elections arrive. - EPS (Edappadi K. Palaniswami) - He is 72. He is not going to become CM this time. Vijay will never align with the BJP-AIAIDMK alliance. He will be 77 by the time the next elections take place in 2031. Surely the AIADMK dispensation would want a fresher, younger face to lead the alliance the next time. We are entering unprecedented territory - several stalwarts of south indian politics who have defined the politics for decades, if not generations will go into the twilight around the same time. "Chaos is not a pit, it's a ladder" said one Petyr Bailish on Game of Thrones not so long ago. This is probably the time when we will see fresh faces emerge, unexpected political events happen, and see younger, talented politicians make hay when the sun shines. We've already seen a massive turnaround in Tamil Nadu with Vijay's superstar showcase. Expect to see even more of that in the coming few years.

Governor can maximum ask Mamata Banerjee to resign, but the Governor can never force her to do so. If Didi does not resign, the Governor can recommend President's rule. In that case, no political party will be able to remain as the ruler in Bengal. Again we have to face election in that case
