I’m a day trader and constantly get mogged by my older sister’s husband at family events because he trades for a real prop trading firm. Always tells me that day trading is useless and I have 0 edge and I can’t say anything because I’m still unprofitable. I told him what ICT is and he laughed in my face.

Used trading profits to move to the countryside in my country. Cost of living literally halved while my quality of life went up. I can still trade as normal, my kids go to a small nearby school and my wife is a stay at home mom. We can still see our friends and family (2 hour drive/train) but now don’t live in a big, unsafe city and live surrounded by friendly locals, farms and nature. This is the best part about trading / online income tbh.

I had a profitable system, but so many times I would know where price wanted to go but wouldn’t enter because I wasn’t given an entry that “followed my rules”. Ever since I adopted a more discretionary approach to my trading I’ve 10x’d my trading results. Sometimes your trading rules are actually holding you back tbh.

I’ve made $8 million from trading. Allow me to let you in on a little secret - there is no strategy that is better than any other. The best one is the one you FOCUS on. Edge is made by looking at the markets one specific way and knowing everything about it. You could trade a profitable traders strategy and still not be unprofitable - because even if you know the basic rules of it, you don’t know that you shouldn’t enter when price is coming to your entry lazily, or that your exit rules should be different in different market conditions. It’s all these sub-rules that make a strategy profitable and you can only get them when you’ve put in 1,000s of hours on a chart with that one strategy.

I “worked” on my trading for 12 hours this week (active trading, backtesting + journalling combined) and made $34,000. This is the best career in the world.

Found out my wife cheated on me and blew my $60k personal account 12 hours later (I’ve been building it up for the past 3 years).

I was single for the last 4 years before I met my girlfriend 6 months ago. I was already profitable, but my trading profits have literally 4x’d in the last few months since being with this girl. She cooks for me, cleans the house and reduces my stress like nothing else. Every day I trade for 3-5 hours and do some backtesting while she takes care of my dog and the house, etc. Then after we go to the beach, go for a walk - all that good stuff. I’m convinced that having a good woman is a MAJOR life hack in trading now.

@TradersConf I hope you don’t regret this in a year or 2 from now lol. It doesn’t seem like you’re an expert so what you pretty much did is going from all in to btc to all in on futures.

When bitcoin hit $100k I sold it all ($300k portfolio) and started day trading. I already had 6 years experience day trading futures but didn’t have a ton of capital. I’ve turned that into $411k since then. So many dummies hold crypto for life, buy the bottoms, sell the tops and do something else with your profits.
