I cannot comprehend this level of depravity. The Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs makes memes about the Ukrainian city of Bucha, where the Russian occupying forces executed dozens of civilians and unarmed prisoners in March 2022. The names that @mfa_russia asks are engraved on the memorial site in Bucha; many names of Russian officers and soldiers who killed them were revealed in investigation.
This reminds me of the Katyn massacre of 1940, when Soviet secret police executed, on Stalin's personal orders, 22,000 Polish prisoners of war. Then the Soviet government tried to blame the massacre on Germans. Then denied, for decades, the responsibility. Finally, admitted what has been obvious, for the entire world. Then (now) started to deny the crime again.
Yet the Soviet government has never tried to make jokes and memes about Katyn. Putin's "diplomats" just reached a new level of depravity.

I woke up today and it's still hard for me to believe that the current American president @realDonaldTrump wants to use such a beautiful sport as ice hockey to justify and legalize the worst crimes of the 21st century! Instead of doing everything together with the entire democratic world to ensure that the greatest criminal of our time, Putin, is tried for his terrible crimes. Unfortunately, this is the reality today.

Wars are not caused by the build up of weapons. They are caused when an aggressor believes he can achieve his objectives at an acceptable price. The war of 1939 was not caused by an arms race. It sprang from a tyrant's belief that other countries lacked the means and the will to resist him. Remember Bismarck's phrase: “Do I want war? Of course not! I want victory!” Our task is to see that potential aggressors, from whatever quarter, understand plainly that the capacity and the resolve of the West would deny them victory in war and that the price they would pay would be intolerable.

Poland is massively pro-America. They spend nearly 5% of GDP on national defence. They buy vast amounts of U.S. weapons. They even thought about naming a military base after Donald Trump.
Yet, the U.S. is now picking a fight with Poland and treating Polish officials with contempt.
This is a lesson for those who still foolishly say that Canada should just ‘give Trump what he wants.’
Our disgraceful treatment by the U.S. isn’t Canada’s fault, or Poland’s fault, or Ukraine’s fault, or the EU’s fault.
This is happening because the U.S. is led by someone who admires dictators and has contempt for democratic nations.
We must stop trying to appease the insanity currently overtaking our southern neighbour.
