Started running my first affiliate network and I've learned some stuff in the first few days that goes against everything people teach My profit margins are roughly 50% lower than the industry standard and I only have 2 offers (currently testing a few more) I only have 2 offers because I refuse to use your ad budget as my testing ground. I'm not going to add 200 trash info products that don't convert just to make the dashboard look full lmao The conventional wisdom is to scale as fast as possible: get 1000s of affiliates, add 50 offers, flood the platform etc. I'd rather have 2 offers that I know print money and 30 affiliates that I know will push good traffic than random affiliates and offers that won't do shit I want every offer in the network to be something affiliates can actually build a business around Quality over quantity ALWAYS. Same thing with affiliates. I'm being super selective about who gets in. Could I open it up and let anyone join? Yeah. Would make more money short term. But then I'd have 100 people who don't know what they're doing, spending $200, losing it, and quitting I don't want that I want 10-20 people who actually know how to run traffic or are serious about learning and won't quit when things get hard Right now our margins suck but I'd rather make less and have affiliates doing massive volume than make more per sale and have them doing mediocre volume It's way better long term and that's what I'm trying to build. A long term business. Third thing - we're completely transparent about everything No scrubbing, no games with tracking If you generated a sale, you get paid. End of story. I literally had someone ask how much we scrub lol, the standard for this industry is so low that people expect to get robbed/scammed I'm not trying to build the biggest affiliate network I'm trying to build the one people actually trust and want to stay in That’s Clicking.
