@BlueStarAirCEO @GovDanMcKee That’s a great suggestion! Especially if it can do it between state level and municipal which sometimes has their own licensing/permitting. The AI Center of Excellence is tasked to do just that (modernize govt services) within the AI Executive Order.

If I had one serious suggestion for AI in Rhode Island, it would be to modernize government services—especially around licensing, permitting, and case management. Streamlining those processes would save time, reduce errors, and improve how residents interact with the state. And hey, if AI can eventually automate bad decision-making out of the Governor’s office too... well, that’s just a bonus. #ModernizeRI #AIforEfficiency #LessRedTapeMoreResults

@BlueStarAirCEO @GovDanMcKee Ha it’s quite the opposite of this zoom call you picture but that did make me chuckle. We always have a choice to act! If you had one suggestion related to AI for Rhode Island, what would it be?

Oh, thank you for the civics lesson—how would we ever know it’s not a state-run task force without your brave comment? A “wide array” of stakeholders? Sounds like a thrilling Zoom call of consultants, corporate reps, and three guys from URI’s IT department. And yes, by all means, let’s pretend a Google Form and a panel discussion is meaningful public input. Rhode Islanders have two choices: complain or submit their thoughts into the great suggestion box abyss. Democracy in action.

@BlueStarAirCEO @GovDanMcKee The AI Task Force isn’t run by the State Govt, research it and you can see it’s made up of a wide array of public and private stakeholders. It’s also looking for public input and ideas through the survey and this session. RI’ers can poke fun and complain or they can get involved

Oh good, because when I think of cutting-edge artificial intelligence strategy, I definitely think of the Rhode Island state government. Can’t wait to see Clippy running DMV appointments and a chatbot named “McBot” deciding who gets bridge toll discounts.
