The Class 08 shunter, always had a soft spot in my heart as it was one of the first OO gauge trains I had back in the early 1980s. Still got it up in the loft somewhere 😀
A fantastic journey back to work today, due to the engineering works on west coast, we went round via Birmingham and saw 08460, then passed 66508 heading a container load for @RailFreight . Brand new 720602/610/611 for @c2c_Rail in Wembley along with 70016.
45690, 4-6-0 Leander heads the “Irish Mail” train into Holyhead today for @westcoastrail before reversing light engine to Valley triangle and reversing back to Holyhead for her return journey to Liverpool. Built in 1936, this former LMS was a magnificent sight and sound 😀
67013 detached from a rake of 5 Mark IV coaches and 82216 today at Holyhead. @225groupuk Unusual to see them in the sidings and very unusual to break the unit at Holyhead?
@JenOnTheMoveUK That is painting all families with the same brush Jen, you of all people should know that sweeping statements are unwise. My family sit quietly and have been taught to respect others and property.
@geofftech 1.4 Billion rail journeys last year, so at 12% that’s approx 168 million tickets from Ticket office! Not exactly a small figure - keep the ticket office
