I just filled this out for @Mountain_Scot’s research. I use both map and compass, and @TopoGPS on my phone. 🗺 🧭 📱 How about you?

I am once again reminded that the advantage of this thing over any bothy is that I don't have to share it with people whose snoring sets off earthquake warnings.

@aroundthehills I didn’t really get into lightweight hiking until after my LEJOG walk in 2000. I carried 16kg on that hike!

@Tramplite Hmm Solar 1 was it called but don’t think it’s that old.

@alex_roddie It does seem a bit pointless. The enduro was most likely used as a test platform for some of the new 7 internals (I understand it’s not just a 6 under the cover). Like the venu has been for the new Epix screen. Garmin often test new hardware on other models first

@bpackingbongos Had the same with my dad. He spent his last 3 weeks alone in a ward. I agree. Utter scum.

At my Grandma's funeral we were limited in the numbers who could attend, some people had to watch via webcam. We were not allowed a wake / gathering afterwards. Everyone went straight home afterwards. Boris and the Tories are utter scum.

Resuming walking again after a 3 hr break dealing with the poor fox. Fox didn’t make it but the SSPCA were amazing. Going to be a late night tonight!

Fox update 4. Unfortunately the SSPCA couldn’t save him and he had to be put to sleep. Sad but at least no more suffering

Ok Twitter. Need your help. Found a live injured fox. Can’t walk but otherwise looks ok. Any rescue centres nr drymen Scotland? I’ve always been told RSPCA will just put them down?

Fox update 3. SSPCA are coming out. Fox is looking a lot better. Moving a bit more. Not given up yet!

Been in touch with fox rescue Scotland. They believe it’s been poisoned and there’s nothing that can be done. Also left a message with SRSPCA. Not looking good for the poor fox :-(
