@SJASheridan I remember Krazy, which was the comic where Cheeky was first a character. Being obsessed with horror films as a kid I bought it because you got free Dracula fangs with the first issue.

Cheeky... one of the best children's comics of the 70s. Cover art by my late friend, Frank McDiarmid.

@ConfessionsPete If Robin ever opens a Bluesky account I'm off this platform for good. He's one of the best on here and has introduced us all to each other and we've formed our own little corner which only brings fun.

@SaucySeventies I'm not on social media as much nowadays but please don't jack it in or turn to the nostalgia bollocks. Our niche area of this site is perfect despite the lack of engagement since Musk took over.

Happy New Year and thanks for following. A question for you. Is there still much interest in what I am doing on here? Celebrating the saucy films of yesteryear and throwing in some weird and wonderful clips from our cultural past? Or should I cut my losses and go for the big likes by becoming a 'who remembers' merchant?

@robchilds @BoxingNewsED To be fair, for the money AJ is getting I would fight both of them at the same time, naked with a carrot up my arse on prime time TV.

Attention all MINDER fans! A new pod devoted to this classic show coming soon - follow @ontheslatepod for updates. Quick debate: I Could Be So Good For You is obviously the greatest (theme) song of all time…But what are its main rivals for the title of top TV theme tune?

@SaucySeventies I went to a bar in Kings Cross three weeks ago and wore double denim for the first time since 1988. I thought I looked cool but probably looked like Roy Kinnear as Bovver Boy's dad!

@MVZaGoGo Stephen Graham is one of the best. Anyone who saw his performance in the This Is England series will know that. Anyone who hasn't seen the film and series really should try to watch it. It's an incredible piece of work with outstanding performances by everyone.

Stephen Graham completely blew my mind. I’ve always loved his work, but the fact that he was able to so perfectly portray a man he never met ( and I’m sure there’s little footage of him ) is absolutely astounding.
Mitch Slater@mpslater

@MVZaGoGo Totally agree Maureen. Saw the DGA screening in the afternoon. Hard not to weep and at the same time really appreciate the heart and soul of artists doing brilliant work. Cannot say enough about the Jeremy’s and Stephen Graham!

@SJASheridan @SaucySeventies Cars, charismatic leading actor, hot passion, I'm sure that it's where the producers of the Fast and Furious franchise got the idea from because they were certainly going fast and furious in that scene.

@Robin_Askwith 'A British Steve McQueen' is very apt. I recently re-watched Flesh & Blood show and he was so incredibly natural and confident in it.

@MarlisaMilne @Estreetman60 I was there also and in the front of the pit. Even before the deluge he was on fine form, afterwards it was like watching 80s era Bruce. He really didn't want to leave the stage and we didn't want him to.
