This evening @ahrcpress @Trans_Cultures celebrated 8 years work & its new report with a lovely reception @hunterian @UofGlasgow. @MusicABorders gave a beautiful reflection on setting free the enslaved Adinkra symbols, & tried out the acoustics! @UNESCOUK @UofGEducation @GRAM_Net

The afternoon kicks off with network reps discussing their work on blackness in Britain, geographies of black protest, African-Caribbean women's mobility and African Union Law @ahrcpress @charlesforsdick

Network Panel 1 present on varying subjects such as reparations, the diasporic everyday & Ethiopian echoes on the British Landscape. Great to hear from a former student who organised an event about art & expression in the African Diaspora as part of one of the Networks @ahrcpress

The Introductory Panel at AHRC Networks: UN International Decade for People of African Descent have raised some fascinating points which will be explored throughout the day @ahrcpress @charlesforsdick
