@idouTheHoke @theaemrys @JosephAMarchal1 H. Christian Blood (who has done good work on the Galli in Apuleius' Metamorphoses), and Ky Merkley (who is broadly working on a dissertation on what trans theory contributes to Classical studies primarily looking at Imperial Roman literature)

@idouTheHoke @theaemrys @JosephAMarchal1 Other scholars currently doing work on trans theory in Classics include Melissa Harl Sellew (she has a good article on a trans reading of Perpetua and Felicity), Chris Mowat (who has a great article on the Galli), Evan Jewell is currently working on a trans reading of the tribas.

question -- as i am reading all about lesbians in rome, i am sensing that a trans reading of these materials would be useful. are there any good treatments of roman sexuality and gender read through trans theory
