The occupation has more emphasis than I expected (compare the Coastal Defence Museum makeover which is now all about China's fight against the Japanese). And there is also some acknowledgement of the British HK defence, which I wasn't expecting at all- the NSL exhibit upstairs says something like "The British surrendered after only a few days" 😌

At the new Hong Kong Story exhibit at the newly renovated Museum of History - fire doors propped open. A classic, tragic "Hong Kong story" indeed....

Not surprised the SCMP picked up the Airport Authority’s press release, but has anyone *heard* of the Global Travel Awards? Do a Google search on it; there are no past winners even though they say it is their 20th edition and no indication of who exactly organizes these awards

Most Hong Kong rioters have mental illness. This one has severe paranoia, said all HKers including non-political ones who re-enter HK can be stalked by cops. Each day, 70k HKers enter thru the airport, many are tourists coming home. He thinks they all might be stalked by cops.

Heard all the sirens on Cornwall and jogged down... how did this happen? It's uphill in heavy traffic! KC cops were surprisingly friendly, one of the new ones thought I was the District Councillor lol. Something lost in translation there ("pain in the ass" --> "DC"😁?)
