I went to a cardiologist about presyncope with a pre-existing connective tissue disorder. The presyncope is worse with current meds. Doctor says, “connective tissue isn’t related. Have you tried drinking water and getting out of my office?” (The getting out isn’t literal.)

The SS *Great Eastern, launched in 1858, was the brainchild of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the most celebrated engineers of the Victorian era. Measuring 692 feet long and weighing nearly 19,000 tons, she was by far the largest ship ever built at the time—so vast that many doubted whether she could even float, let alone sail. What made the *Great Eastern* truly revolutionary was her hybrid propulsion system: six masts with sails, enormous paddle wheels, and a massive screw propeller powered by steam engines. Designed to carry 4,000 passengers and enough coal to travel from England to Australia without refueling, she was more than just a ship—she was an audacious statement of human ambition and industrial might. Despite her cutting-edge design, the *Great Eastern* faced numerous setbacks. Her launch was plagued by technical issues and delays, and early voyages were marred by financial troubles and mechanical failures. The ship never became the commercial passenger success Brunel had envisioned, but her robust construction would later prove invaluable. In the 1860s, she was repurposed for laying transatlantic telegraph cables—her massive size and stability making her uniquely suited for the task. In this new role, she helped connect continents and revolutionize global communication, fulfilling a very different but equally monumental purpose. The *Great Eastern*’s grandeur and complexity inspired fascination beyond the world of engineering. Jules Verne famously featured the ship in his 1871 novella *A Floating City*, with evocative illustrations by Jules Férat that captured its scale and mystique. Though the ship was eventually dismantled in 1889, her legacy endured—marking a turning point in maritime innovation. The *Great Eastern* remains a towering symbol of Victorian ingenuity, a vessel that dared to defy the limitations of its era and, in many ways, paved the way for modern ocean liners and global connectivity. #archaeohistories

Well that doesn’t make me feel good. I reported a listing on eBay because it can’t be sold as a usable item. Suspiciously looked stolen but at best its parts only. But eBay’s AI review said “it’s good”. Trust loss.

@DisrespectedThe Do you have any idea how often I’m told my package is 1+ weeks away? I’m not skipping my vacation because you deliver early without the system even alerting us. And you knew it snowed before you took that job.

The song transitioned into a gentle love song. A soft and sweet tune floated from the songs with a subtle, but firm hard rock rhythm rising in support as the dark blue glow brightened on his fingers continued to glide around the strings. #vss365 #rockshow 6/

"Do you remember that song we used to sing together?" Simone wrapped an arm around his waist as she guided him to center stage. "The one you wrote for us?" Tayanna asked as she motioned to a stage hand. 1/ #vss365 #rockshow

The last chords of their current song pounded through the amphitheater, Simone flipped her long crimson hair off her face. A wide excited smile lit up her face as she looked from Tayanna and her guitar to Claire on the drums. They returned her fierce grin. #vss365 #rockshow 1/

@Meeshlwills Eh, I mean I get asking the question. Nothing wrong with that part. But if she’s there and you’re not, why not look in the machine first. 🤷‍♀️

"You're supposed to be a Hero!" The soon-to-be former mugger groaned from the pavement. "Taking folks like me to jail." They wheezed. "Who told you I was a hero?" I asked as I leveled the barrel of my weapon. "I certainly didn't." 1/ #amwriting #villainmonologue #vss365
