@covox The lovely milled aluminum case was handled through boxy pixel. But originally tested various sources and quality was spotty. If it was not for the pandemic I probably would have traveled to China to find a good manufacturer.

@Trash80 Can't begin to describe how awesome the M8 is. So glad to have it in my hands. I love it. Also, what company manufactured the PCB? The silkscreening is damn fine, so much cleaner than JLCPCB's. And who milled and coated the case?

@covox Oh nice I did not know you got one! Glad you like it! PCB was done through my local PCB assembly house- they have a preferred vendor so don’t know who exactly. Working with a local company is far more expensive but allows both a better quality product and building good relations.

Now that preorders are fulfilled I’ve heard things like “you must feel proud” or “It must feel good”… it does not. I’m a ball of stress and feel overwhelming pressure, just as mush as it was at the start. I wonder if this is normal and how others deal with it. Is this “burnout”?

@leonard_coder @gw3m @Seantron @DirtyWaveMusic Funny enough this whole thing started by dusting off an incomplete lsdj style midi tracker I wrote in 2013 to hook up to a ym2149 via a midi ym2149 project I made. (Thanks @gw3m for the tips and tricks)

@gw3m @Seantron @DirtyWaveMusic no it was just a crazy idea! I just loved the look&feel of this device :) Doing Maxymiser on it would be a complete rewrite, not a port I guess.

@Sabrepulse @Ultrasyd1 @Ultrasyd1’s music directly inspired one of my projects forward into what I work on to this day. He will always be a source of inspiration and one of the purest, most genuine people I’ve been lucky enough to meet.
