Eventually with the right market, those rates will return. Further, historical rates depends on your timeline view. For most of the past decade, rates have been sub-5%. That's a pretty good track record. Also, buying power was drastically different in the 90s compared to today. Low rates today will stretch the buying power of our dollar today. That's what this generation wants and needs. Prices will drop and stabilize once the rates drop due to supply/demand.
