Aragh I am delighted and kinda shocked that my Short film script (Based on a scene from my play The Dead House) has been selected to be a finalist in the Ardán and RTE Short film commission. This would be my first steps into writing for screen. Fingers, Eyes, Toes, and Legs crossed.

Yet more reports to my college, this new wave supposedly from Roma/travellers who dislike being called out for child grooming and horse abuse respectively. Along with harassment of my acquaintances/colleagues. Not only does it have nothing to do with my college (so I'm not really sure what they're thinking with that), but I didn't even say anything that bad, haha. I just read EU funded study statistics and said I know there are many lovely roma so they need to be dealing with problematic behaviours in their own community. And stop abusing horses. You'd think I was saying slurs and calling for genocide the way people are going on. I won't be intimidated by anyone into not speaking up for what's right. Not by leftists. Not by Muslims. Not by gypsies. All three groups of whom, contribute towards inappropriate attitudes towards children albeit in different ways, thank you.

I think that some of the phrases in the caighdean ofigiuil give off a type of protofacism that only native speakers can sense. That is why they hate it. Also not wanting the govt to control what we say.
