And Happy Mother’s Day to the girlies; the firstborn daughters, the single moms, the friends that mother our children and aunties who mother us. Happy Mother’s Day to those holding loss, and those still waiting. May life be gentle with you. ❤️🌸

I admire women who leave men at the slightest bit of disrespect.

The birth rate decline is actually a sign of generational healing. Do you know how many of our female ancestors dreamed of having the choices we now have? 🥺

Men created God and religion in their own angry image because they couldn’t accept that life actually comes from women. So they wrote books that treat women like property, breeding machines, and second-class humans. God is male. Angels are male. The 12 elders are male. Jesus’ 12 disciples? All male. A whole boys’ club designed to control and diminish women. The funniest and saddest part? The biggest fans and most aggressive defenders of this system are often the women themselves, the very people it oppresses. Stockholm Syndrome on a global, generational scale. Religion didn’t liberate women. It chained them and sold them the keys.

@iky_fwjett It's a female thing. My mother used to scald my father late at night and years later I had a fiance use literally - literally - the same routine on me "you don't care about your family, or anything". I laughed and told her if she was going to abusive, then at least be original.

No woman is born of a man's rib. Every man is born of a woman's womb. patriarchy’s oldest lies is crowning the father as the lifegiver.

Whereas I believe in mentorship and all that kind of support, there’s a very sinister (misogynistic) way to how society treats older women who don’t want to play the motherly mentorship role for younger women. It’s almost like older women owe people their time, emotions & space.

A male doctor is pushing the narrative that age 19 is the best for girls to conceive, that periods are an indicator of maturity. Uganda & its dysfunction have let idiocy to thrive unencumbered. Won't be shocked if one day, an NGO has them on a panel in the name of male allies.

They lied. What doesn't kill you doesn't make you stronger. It traumatizes you and leaves you hypervigilant for years.

I will not hesitate to spoil the mood once I hear any sexist talk around me. You must explain what you mean by that and why you’ve chosen to remain foolish in the 21st century.
