@Treewater229

We study all aspects of how water moves through ecosystems from rainfall to rivers. No politics. Minimal whining. Opinions are my own.

🌊 This week we highlight the paper: “Widespread Potential for Streamflow Leakage Across Brazil” by @GescilamUchoa et al. (2024). ✨ Every two weeks until #AGU25, we’ll feature a publication in #CatchmentHydrology from an early career scientist who shared their work with us.

As a partner of America's Longleaf Restoration Initiative, we're proud of the accomplishments they made last year! Restoring our longleaf pine ecosystems isn't only good for the environment, but it also benefits local economies, national defense, recreation and wildfire risk.

If you’re doing research right you should feel a little dumb some of the time. I’m an incredible researcher because I feel severely dumb almost all of the time

While many of our native groundcover species are blooming beautifully, the butterfly weed (Asclepias tuberosa) stands out brilliantly in the landscape. Its bright colors and knack for nectar production attract pollinators, like this zebra swallowtail (Eurytides marcellus)! 🦋
