Consider a tone in therapy that feels like therapist & patient are "standing side by side rather than facing each other" A metaphor but what does it say about telling trainees to face patients directly & lean forward? Canned advice is filled with canned (unexamined) assumptions

@ENirenberg I can handle the not eating. It is worse with drinking water. Apparently, drinking a sip of this stuff every day is not enough to survive. 🤷‍♀️ I suspect a fatal flaw in the project design.

@pigletish Yeah, well. I just got "just a plant" from a client. Now that cl is in the room with me every day and it's too much. Wish I had firmer boundaries. This is the last "just a plant" for me. and... What if it DIES?!?

She has a lot of plants in her therapy room and it’s always very comforting to me but clearly she likes plants so I wanted to get her a house plant.

I can’t help but notice the overall hatred & outrage towards Rihanna for platforming Depp, is much larger than the hatred and outrage towards Depp. Could this be timing, & that people have now realised Depp is the abuser, or is it another way to blame a woman for male violence?

Recently, a date said they were an INTJ (i.e., Myers Briggs). I told her, “I'm a PhD in psychology. I refuse to entertain some unscientific typology of personality with dubious scientific backing.” I took pride in expressing my needs. As a Pisces, I really struggle with that.
