@TrekCave Good to know, I’m living with it for a week so I’ll be using a public charger at some point to top it back up before I return it🔋

@Carsofglasgow1 In the cooler mornings consumption is worse.
Im sure in the summer months it will be closer.
I think for its battery size and cost its pretty good, on my home rate its cheap to charge overnight.
English

@TrekCave Sounds realistic! I saw 166 miles at 91% yesterday. So I was curious how far off the 233 mile claimed range it was ☺️
English

@Carsofglasgow1 I commute to work, mix of town and b road driving.
In eco mode using "L" mode and adaptive speed limiter.
Heater and AC used where needed.
Last charged up 100% March 15th got about 23% left, id say done around 120-130 miles.
Range says 33 miles left.
English

@TrekCave That is my favourite paint colour on the gene! Can I ask what kind of range you see?
English

@ChrisCushman2 I see your point.
Thank you for posting those pictures, looks great with the aztec paint scheme.
English

@TrekCave If they ever did it would have to be at a much smaller scale…
English

@joncoupland Glad to see its found another good home, look forward to seeing what happens next!

@Lutra_Gaming The intro credit sequence to Star Trek Voyager is richer and more gripping than what modern Trek has had to offer.
English

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan stands as one of the best films of all time. The ship battles unfold like submarine warfare, channeling the tension of Das Boot. Brilliant writing, tight pacing, and action built on suspense.
It cost only $12 million to make — about $40 million today — yet feels richer and more gripping than modern Trek (Starfleet Academy), where budgets run $10–20 million per episode with far less impact.
English

@LeahRebeccaUK Amazed it didn't include lighting, is that a thing lego do now in some kits or not?
English

@CrackedRearView I don't know if I'm going to bother with a lighting kit. Whichever I go for, it's never going to look anywhere near as good as this...

@jackofallgames7 There was something special about meeting up with your friends, heading into town, local Blockbuster, rent a game for the weekend, loads of crisps, sweets, gaming mags and back to someone's house and just play the hell out of it all weekend. Proper good times
English

People will say “there’s nothing stopping you having this now” but that’s not true.
Nearly everything in this room was offline. Everyone had to make arrangements to come over and play. You’d make an evening out of a video game.
Successfully doing this today is near impossible. Culturally, we’ve left this behind.

We took this for granted

@idiotstupidfrey Plus the added bonus of showing people those trick rear doors!
English

@TrekCave it’s def been worth it overall tho, amazing car to drive and surprisingly comfortable and even practical for what it is (aside from the awful mpg) - boot is cavernous and i can fit 4 people relatively comfortably
English

@idiotstupidfrey Think thats the case for most japanese cars of the time in regards to paint.
I often thought of having one of these alongside my "89 Eunos Roadster back in the day but I just wasn't brave enough and went Civic Type R.
Definitely worth the love to keep them on the road.
English

@TrekCave i agree, i think they looked a bit awkward at their time but aged really well, a lot of people are surprised when i tell them it’s a 2004. velocity red is great but made out of chocolate it seems… paint resto soon! maybe

All fkin day I’ve had comments like this. So tiring that some people don’t have the intelligence to debate anymore.
Take me to your leader@greg_davies
@AutoPap It's like buying a years worth of food and saying your meals now cost just 2p a day... 🤡
English

@joncoupland "Originally purchased by Father Jimmy McHoly from Trusting Family name motors for the sum of £xx, original sales document and pen present etc"
Cant stand any of that drivel, any advert with a story to rival the length of a Song of Ice and Fire can do one.
English

@jhorsewhisperer Just lease the Jaecoo and keep it like that for the foreseeable future. These cars are designed for leasing not long term ownership
English

Chinese cars are going to take over.
The girlfriend wanted a new car.
Range Rover Evoque
4 years PCP deal
Total cost: £30,480 @ 3.9% APR
Jaecoo 7
Total cost: £17,520 @ 0% APR
Financing the Jaecoo 7 is a no-brainer at 0%. It might not be a "Range Rover" but neither is the Evoque in my opinion it's crap. A real Range Rover is the full-sized Range Rover or the Sport.
Who is going to justify paying almost double for nearly the same car? Jaecoo 7 tech is better and most people who drive these cars don't give a crap about handling etc. An Evoque is hardly a driver's car anyway.
I think we'll see some big changes over the next few years in the car market. People are becoming less brand snobs. As long as it looks good, has a warranty, and is affordable, most are happy.
