People had lost trust in governance. Getting back that trust, instilling a sense of hope and belief that good governance and development would be back on track, will be our biggest achievement. @dabiodunMFR @TalabiTokunbo @OGSGofficial

As part of our engineering review and commitment to durability, adjustments are being made to ensure the Atan–Lusada–Agbara Road meets the highest standards of strength and longevity. The existing road foundation remains sound, and current works are focused on delivering a finished roadway that can withstand heavy industrial traffic, high axle loads, and frequent usage, while also reducing long-term maintenance demands and ensuring better value for public funds. The 19.1-kilometre road, linking the highly industrialised Agbara axis to Lusada and Atan, remains a vital economic lifeline for industrial, commercial, and residential communities. Phase Two of the project is currently underway, reinforcing our resolve to deliver long-lasting, world-class infrastructure. With the Federal Government’s takeover of the Sokoto–Badagry Highway, which includes this corridor, the area is well positioned for sustained infrastructure growth, improved mobility, and accelerated economic development across Ogun State. As construction advances, traffic flow and road safety along this critical corridor are already improving, while overall travel time for motorists continues to reduce, further supporting productivity and daily economic activities within the axis. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #OgunState #InfrastructureDevelopment #DapoAbiodun

Mama Ekundayo – The Yoruba - Kogi Woman Who Raised Over 500 Orphans And Abandoned Children She dedicated her life to taking care of orphans. Her name is Mama Janet Ekundayo. Nigeria is a nation full of unsung heroes and heroines. In this hustle and bustle that has come to characterize the Nigerian society, it is little surprise that we have neglected some of the most vulnerable ones in the society – the orphans and abandoned kids. But there was one woman who did the opposite – she dedicated her life to taking care of orphans. Her name is Mama Janet Ekundayo. Ekundayo is a name in the language of the Yorubas of West Africa. It can be translated as ‘tears turned to joy’ or ‘my tears have turned to joy’. And truly, this wonderful woman turned the hot, steamy tears of many kids into unlimited joy. Mama Ekundayo has been described as the Mother Theresa of Africa, because she dedicated most of her life to take care of orphans and abandoned children in the society. In 2007, she adopted her 469th child, and by the year 2008; she had already cared for over 500 children. This act earned her the nickname “Olomo yeye”, which means someone with many children. Her lifestyle projected the meaning of her name, “Ekundayo,” which istranslated to mean, “tears have turned to joy” in Yoruba language. Mama Ekundayo, who’s real name is Janet Ekundayo gave birth to five children of her own, but that did not stop her from adopting other kids because of her love for children. She enjoyed the company of little children, therefore taking care of them came naturally to her. In 1969, Mama Ekundayo made a decision to dedicate the rest of her life to taking care of orphans and abandoned children. For over 50 years, Mama Janet Ekundayo ran theEkundayo Orphanage Home in Isanlu Makutu, Kogi state. She has been described as one of the most influential Kogi Women of all time. Her Famous Words Emi ko, ishe Oluwa ni (meaning: It is not by my effortsbut by the grace of God). Agbara mi ko, agbara Olorun ni (meaning: It is not by my power or might, but that of God). This sign is also at the entrance of her orphanage. Bawo ni mashe jeun nigba ti gbogbo awon omo mi o ri je, ti won rimu? (meaning: How can I eatwhen all my children are starving?) Ayo mikun, gbogbo igbese aye mi, ayo ni. Mi o mo idi ti Olorun fi pe mi be. Into mu inu mi dun ni ti awon omo yii. (My joy overflows, my whole life has been filled with joy. I still don’t know why God chose me thus. These children give me the greatest joy). Eje fogo Olorun han, ma se bo talenti mo le rara, eje fogo olorun han. (Let your talent flourish, don’t hide it). For her, her talent was caring for children. Her DeathIn the year 2009, death came knocking. She was believed to be an octogenarian or a nonagenarian. Many never heard of her until the Nigerian singer, TY Bello made a video in her honor and even produced a song titled Ekundayo ft Olufunmi for her in 2008. It was part of her popular album, Greenland. Later, she would also be featured on Mosunmola Folake Abudu (Mo Abudu)’s program, Moments with Mo. One prayer she had was for God to grant her someone to whom she could hand over the project when she is no more. Her prayers were answered. Her daughter, Grace, has graciously taken upon this task started by her mother. This Great woman deserve to be celebrated 🖤 Repost to Educate Someone ♥️

Abiodun mourns Segun Awolowo Ogun State Governor, Prince @DapoAbiodunCON, has described the passing of Mr Olusegun Awolowo Jr., grandson of former Nigerian nationalist, and statesman, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, as a deeply profound personal loss. Abiodun, who described the lawyer and ex- executive director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, as a gentleman par excellence, voice of courage and consummate public servant, at 62 as a deeply shocking incident, said he received news of his passing with utter disbelief, but will however treasure memories of his acquaintance. He said that to all who knew him, Mr Segun Awolowo was affable, highly intelligent, extremely affable and easy going, adding that he will be sorely missed. He said: "It is extremely hard to process the news that Segun Awolowo Jr. is gone, but we submit unreservedly to the decision of the Almighty God, who has called him into His bosom. "We are deeply heartbroken, but we will take consolation in the exemplary great lessons his life taught us, for he was such a jolly good fellow. "Born two months after his father's death, Awolowo Jr. was acquainted with grief from childhood, but he rose above the challenges and became an icon in his own right. " After Awolowo working with the law firm of Abayomi Sogbesan & Co. and also with the law firm of GOK Ajayi & Co. after his call to bar in December 1989, he served in President Olusegun Obasanjo's administration as a Special Assistant on Traditional Institutions, Legal Due Diligence and Legal Matters. " His record as Special Assistant to President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua and as Secretary for Social Development and Secretary of Transport from 2007 to 2011 executive director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council from 2013 to 2021, was unblemished. "He gave his best in advancing the fortunes of Nigeria, and it was not by accident that he was, in July 2021, he was unanimously elected as the President of National Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs) from ECOWAS member States. "His earthly sojourn may have been brief, but it was hugely impactful. I commiserate with his dear wife and children, the Awolowo family, and Nigerians in general. May his gentle soul rest in sweet repose."

It’s no longer news that DJ chicken has crashed his car yet again. That makes it 6 times. I heard @OGSG_Official wants to prosecute him. According to @MobilePunch, The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced that it is expediting the prosecution of TikTok Content Creator, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, following a series of road traffic incidents that have raised public safety concerns. The announcement relates to the incident on November 1, 2025 in Sagamu, Ogun State, where Abiodun crashed into two motorcycles, seriously injuring a rider and a female passenger. This was disclosed in a statement released by the @OGSG_Official on its official X handle on Monday. It was stated that eyewitnesses said he attempted to leave the scene, provoking the anger of passersby who restrained him. punchng.com/just-in-ogun-t… @FRSCNigeria is my focus, when do you say ‘Enough is enough’ and spare lives from a dangerous and unstable guy? He should never go near any machine because he’s a walking disaster waiting to happen.

The hideout is in Ajebo Obafemi Awolowo LGA, Ogun State and the’re fully armed and will strike anytime soon. Yoruba land is also not safe if you’re on my page celebrating bloodshed because the President is your tribesman.

UPDATE ON ODE–SAPADE ROAD PHASE 3 PROJECT The Ogun State Government has announced steady progress on the ongoing reconstruction of the Ode–Sapade Road, which has now entered its final phase under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun. According to the latest assessment, binder-asphalt laying is advancing from chainage 3+600 up to the Sapade Junction on both carriageways. On the opposite side, engineers are regrading and compacting the stone base in preparation for priming ahead of asphalt placement. Phases One and Two of the project, covering Sagamu to Iperu, have been fully completed and are already in use. Phase Three, currently in full execution, involves dualisation of the existing road, milling of the old asphalt, installation of essential highway furniture and the wearing-course overlay from chainage 0+00 (Ode Remo) to kilometre 5+500 (Sapade). The scope also includes an additional 200-metre link connecting the Ibadan Expressway to the Sapade–Ode corridor. In total, the work covers a stretch of 5.5 kilometres. The state government has reaffirmed that, by God’s grace, the entire section remains on course for delivery and handover before Christmas 2025. Governor Abiodun again appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and road users along the corridor, assuring that quality road infrastructure across Ogun State remains a top priority of his administration.

Keeping our state peaceful requires us to anticipate challenges before they arise, sharpen our level of preparedness, and reinforce the systems that shield our communities from instability. Although we have held similar engagements in the past, today’s meeting stood out in its urgency and relevance, which is why it was important for us to gather. Our conversation with the service chiefs this morning reaffirmed our shared commitment to stronger security coordination and a united approach to safeguarding lives and property.
