The difference between a "good" performance and retiring early is: How long you hold your winners... Most traders don't have an issue with finding winners its holding them that's the issue. They take 5-10% gains on stocks that eventually move 50-100% because they’re uncomfortable with open profit. Meanwhile they’ll hold losers for months hoping to “get back to even.” The biggest money in trading is made by sitting through healthy consolidations in true market leaders. Strong stocks will: • pull back • shake people out • test moving averages • consolidate after expansion That doesn’t automatically mean the trend is over. Everyone wants to make 1000%+ returns on the best stocks.. BUT Do you have balls to hold if the stock goes up 100%, then pulls back 50%? If the character of the stock remains intact: • volume stays constructive • key EMAs hold • relative strength remains strong …then the best move is often patience. One great stock held correctly can outperform 20 small trades.

We're adding some options to @Deepvue RMV pivots so that you can: 1. Merge pivots that are close together into 1 pivot 2. Keep drawing the pivot until a breakout threshold Example with $ARM.

@Trend_TraderPRO @Deepvue You can use the Enhanced Volume indicator to see reverse pocket pivots. @AmeetRai in enhanced volume we should add an option to highlight volume days when it's X% of the average, in addition to reverse pocket pivots

I've been trading since 2006, and I don't want to leave this earth without handing down most of what I've learned — to my kids first, and to anyone willing to learn. They're too young to understand it now. So the best way to preserve it is to bring what my eyes see onto the chart itself. In other words: build indicators that make my setups easy to spot — clean pivots, hidden/quick pivots, advanced setups, staying off the left side of the base, shakeout & reclaim, and more. Same spirit as what I've already done with Volume Pocket Pivots and Moving Average Trend. It's a big project. But I played with the concept this morning, and I think I can pull it off. All the hard work I've put in over the years will not go gently into that good night. I'll make videos of the progress to demonstrate how i am bringing the entire strategy together. I'll figure out how to make it available to the community at some point in the future — I just want it to outlive me and actually help people. This won't be your typical "indicators". What I want to create is multiple tools that when you layer them on the chart, it helps you "see" what I see.

@AmeetRai @Deepvue Which pattern recognitions ? We as @Deepvue are not close to marketsmith yet. That is one feature I miss most from marketsmith. We are heading in the right direction but can’t get there soon enough.

New @Deepvue charts have some Pattern Recognition built in via some native indicators and are considerably faster than anything you may have used recently. Give them a try.

@PeterLBrandt It depends on what kind of market we are in. If my trade is in direction of trade then about 5-7% of that position that equals to about 1-2% of my total account at most

Hypothetical question for my followers who invest/trade in crypto, equities, futures, FX, whatever Assume you have a $1 million speculative account -- actual money You see a trade you like How much of that $1M are you willing to lose on that trade?
