So tired of hearing “what about black on black crime in Chicago” used as a argument when there are direct correlations between poverty & crime that we don’t ever address. COVID⬆️ leads to Poverty⬆️ leads to Crime⬆️ And y’all think “Must be an issue with black culture”? Fuck OFF

My takeaway is NOT “uh oh, criminals love murdering even more now!” It’s “For almost 2 years, our leaders neglected to give enough aid during a deadly pandemic that disproportionally affects lower income & POC communities, forcing more people into dangerous means of surviving”

UPS fired a teamster last week in Chicago because she put a package over a fence due to lack of equipment. In response 150+ drivers of local 705 didn’t go in early today, and stood in solidarity with their fired coworker.

I believe voting 3rd party purely out of spite is like voting GOP, so that doesn’t feel like an option. But at the same time, fuck the Dems. Fuck their performative BS & pandering. They deserve to be shamed & out of office. But the GOP deserves to burn in hell, so there’s that.

@BeauTFC I never thought Biden was THE solution, but I thought it was morally reprehensible to not vote for him. Now I can’t imagine voting Dem in good conscience. But people who are less privileged than I will be most negatively affected by a GOP led Gov’t, so I feel obligated.
