@RodneyMarshall1 Apart from the amazing John Barry theme and the ever watchable Barry Morse, this must rank as the worst ITC action series.

The Adventurer. ITC action-adventure, reduced to half-hours on 16mm, reaches an all-time low point. An unhappy venture for Gene Barry's assistants, Stuart Damon, Ed Bishop and the woefully underused Catherine Schell. At least John Barry composed a memorable main theme.

@gerainted Fair point but viewing time makes a huge difference on Christmas Day. In the afternoon people more likely to be eating, drinking playing games. As usual it’s notable that highest viewing figs are progs after 6pm (when they might be settling down).

Overnights on the BBC: #DoctorWho 4.1m #Wallace&Gromit 9.4m Give ‘em what they want, and they will switch on to watch. 4m “family audience” not bothered with Who. Sad.
