@cecililytweets Common misconception. The sheet music is public domain. The specific recording you used, belongs to the orchestra that played and recorded it (and then up the corporate chain from there).
The orchestra doesnt have to worry about royalties. If you use their recording? You do.

@cecililytweets @sundhaug92 I've used classical music recordings from 1910 that I got from the library of congress archives that got copyright claimed. The people doing the claiming do not care about the public domain, they will do copyfraud any chance they get

Youtube's copyright system is the worst. Literally anyone can make a claim and terminate your monetization. Then the whole thing takes a week or two to get reviewed...
The fact they've never changed it really speaks volumes. They must like it, another way to push out the little guy.
