The Bond Hearing for Dalton Eatherly, aka ChudtheBuilder, will start in roughly an hour from now. Here are some things to keep in mind: - His current bond sits at $1.25 million for the attempted murder of Joshua Fox, along with other felonies and the revocation of previous active bonds he was out on when he committed the crime. - There is a current movement trying to bail Dalton out using his “GiveSendGo” donations, that were originally meant to support Dalton and his family (he is no longer married nor has custody of his son). This will most likely be a target of interest for the DA to block that money being used as the DA asked for a “source hearing” if there is an attempt to make bond. (Clip below) A source hearing is the examination of money that is being allotted for use to bond someone out of jail. If that money from donations or from others are deemed not legitimate avenues, restrictions can be put on the bond or even denied. - New evidence may be brought forward by either side to justify or counter the current bond amount. We may get a better picture of what unfolded in the events leading up to the shooting. - Regardless, even if for some reason Dalton is granted bail and is released, he can no longer make the content that made him famous. He will most likely not be able to carry a firearm or talk about the case to the public. Without being armed, Dalton doesn’t have the ability to defend himself from the consequences of the racist rhetoric that he normally spews to bait people into confrontation, giving him content.
