THANK YOU ZIMBABWEANS FOR AIRING YOUR PAINS TO GOVERNMENT: We can now talk about it! Following our engagement here, your request to Government in respect of fuel price pressures were duly communicated to the President, Dr ED Mnangagwa. This was on Thursday afternoon. He wasted no time and directed Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube to look into the matter expeditiously for some relief. Under the aegis of the Chief Secretary, an interministerial team was set up to address the matter. This was yesterday. It has since made its recommendations which Government is now considering. You spoke; your President and his Government listened. That is how it should be. Thank you Zimbabwe!!!!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
ZBC News@ZBCNewsonline

Minister Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Professor Mthuli Ncube says the government is reviewing taxes and levies to ease the impact of rising global fuel prices. He noted that the Middle East geopolitical tensions have driven oil costs up, and assured that measures are in place to maintain adequate fuel supply across the country. #FuelPrices #MthuliNcube #ZimbabweEconomy #EnergySecurity #EconomicDevelopment

@LynneStactia MT should have relinquished the position after the 2013 electoral loss... because he was literally done, politically. That was the true defining moment of opposition politics. Biti should have taken over there and then.

🔹To be honest and fair, the opposition's problems began when MRT disregarded the party constitution by appointing two Vice Presidents outside of its provisions. The situation worsened following his death, because there was no succession plan in place which led to what many consider an internal coup.  🔸After that takeover, the priority should have been to unite the party. It is impossible to ignore that Dr Khupe was treated unfairly or that leaders like @hwendec fostered a toxic culture which he acknowledged in his resent posts, and that culture reached the grassroots level. This culture consolidated power around a single person, the very issue we sought to escape from ZANU-PF. While many misfortunes followed, they occurred because the party’s foundation was already unstable and the party constitution was completely shredded on the alter of egos, and power struggles. 🔹The opposition has failed to learn a crucial lesson from ZANU-PF: when their grip on power is threatened, they set aside their differences and unite. It isn't because they like each other, it’s because they understand it is necessary for the party’s continuity and stability.  🔸In contrast, part of the opposition remains wedded to the idea that a single individual can change everything, while the other part is saying “itai tione”. Today, we have an urgent and genuine cause, #CAB3 that should have brought us together, instead, ego and entitlement have stood in the way, handing the advantage back to ZANU-PF.  🔹No amount of hate or bickering will bring about change. These are merely tools used for greed and personal enrichment.  I ask you again, brothers and sisters: to what end do we continue to fight each other, rather than fighting for a cause that will bring healing, peace, and prosperity? #NoTo2030 !!

PATIENCE, PATIENCE MACOMRADES: Good tidings are coming both on the fuel front and salaries for civil servants. Government is fully aware of the pressures its workforce faces, particularly in the wake of disturbances in the Middle East. A review of wages and salaries was due anyway; it is coming, certainly by this April!!!!!
ZiFM Stereo News@ZiFMStereoNews

HAPPENING NOW: Nurses at Sally Mugabe Hospital, formerly Harare Hospital, have downed tools demanding a salary rise to match the cost of living. This follows an increase of fuel prices from US$1.50 to $2.17 for petrol and almost the same for diesel. facebook.com/share/p/1BdsiN…

Innscor delivers a strong half-year to December 2025: Highlights: 📈Revenue rose 19% to US$635.784m 📌 Bakery: Loaf volumes up 28%, helped by a new fully automated line at the Harare plant. A sixth line is being installed and will be commissioned before year-end, alongside a new distribution centre. 📌 Pasta: Volumes up 33%, driven by strong demand for spaghetti and locally produced pasta. 📌 Colcom: Sales volumes up 32%. A three-year expansion of processing, storage and distribution is underway. 📌 Cropping: US$17.466m invested in contracted farmers, supporting nearly 200 commercial and small-scale farmers. Over 9,000ha planted, producing about 56,000 metric tonnes of grain. 📌 Brewery: Nyathi beer volumes up 17%. New brewing and filling capacity was added. 🚨 Sugar tax: US$3.191m paid in the half-year, bringing the total since introduction to US$13.290m. Innscor says the tax is a significant cost and gives an advantage to informal, non-compliant importers.

#BhaskorONews!! 🔹Advocates Edley Mubayiwa and Silvester Hashiti were reportedly retained by AG Mabhiza , and President ED Mnangagwa to support the "2030 agenda" legal case after other senior counsel declined the brief. 🔸The pair are currently in South Africa to finalise instructions and payment terms; while Mubayiwa has reportedly requested $1 million, negotiations are ongoing. 🔹Additionally, Wicknell Chivayo is said to be funding Hashiti, who also serves as his personal legal advisor…. @TriggerFyah My list was fine, brother. I also respect yours. Good thing is, you're begrudgingly conceding to my point. We are not stronger together. We see things differently & should pursue those preferred routes without hindrance or pointless calls for "unity" where's there's no purpose

@memorynguwi The board pack needs to be circulated well ahead of time and should be taken as read. Each board member should take time to study the board pack ahead of the meeting and not during.

Your board meetings do not need to drag on for half a day. If the structure is right, two hours is more than enough. The core role of the board is not to redo work, but to receive and interrogate committee outputs. That means all substantive issues must be dealt with at committee level first through Audit, Risk, Human Resources, or any other relevant committee. By the time matters reach the main board, they should be distilled into clear recommendations that require a decision. If committee reports are well structured and clearly set out the issue, the analysis done, the recommendation, and any risks, the board’s role becomes focused and efficient. Add a concise Chief Executive Officer trading update, and you still remain well within a two hour window. The problem is lack of discipline. Many boards end up replaying committee meetings at full board level. That duplication kills efficiency and wastes valuable time. Once a committee has done its work properly, the board should not start from scratch again. The board’s job is to challenge, approve, or redirect, not to redo. @ipcconsultants

Maybe RBZ and Treasury have forgotten why suppliers rejected local-currency payments and need reminding: (1) Cost of sales for contractors requires USD payments, for example fuel. So what exactly are contractors expected to do when they need to pay for fuel? The RBZ’s WBWS system is for raw-material imports, not local hard-currency expenses. Zimbabwe is now effectively a 90% USD economy. (2) Delayed payments remain a major problem. There are contractors who have not been paid since 2022. Many continued supplying goods and services to government because, at the very least, a USD invoice retained value over time. While the ZiG has been stable over the past 12 months, Treasury delays run into years, not months. There is still not enough confidence in the ZiG to justify such a drastic shift. (3) In the past, government ended up dealing through politically connected middlemen who could squeeze payments out of Treasury, rather than trading directly with source contractors. Source contractors preferred USD. (4) Farmers who sell to the GMB often have no other source of income and cannot afford delays. (5) The arbitrage between USD and local currency was fueled in part by transactions between government and the street. Government helped close that trade by paying in USD. (6) ZIMRA and Treasury statutory payments also became a form of arbitrage. (7) Bank lending was, and still is, extended against USD invoices. That financing was not structured with this kind of policy change in mind.

@UmorMoseph @SemudaraAbayomi @CAF_Media Morrocco should be punished on their own separate issues... but walking out of a game amounts to forfeiting it. In fact they knew that by walking out they were forfeiting... they were fully prepared for what's to come when they made that decision - so why are they crying?

@TriggerFyah @SemudaraAbayomi @CAF_Media This is the voice of defeat here. Instead let people walk out and forfeit the game more often due to the fact CAF can't stand for the whole nation than supporting the Arabs. Was Morocco innocent in that tournament? The referee was so biased that it couldn't be hidden anymore.

I need to address this. We are building an organization. By it's nature, an ORGANIZATION has to be ORGANIZED. We have to know our members. We need to know those who share the same values as us, and also who to call upon when we need something done. We are providing tools for ORGANIZATION, STRUCTURE and RECRUITMENT. The constitution of CDF is very clear, it is a Civic organization that will not turn into a political party. That said, we appreciate other organizations whom we consider allies. Some of the tools we are building are open for use by everyone regardless of whether you are a member or not eg writing to parliament via Whatsapp. On the web we wouldn't do that for security reasons. I hope this helps.
Otto Von Bismark@OttoVon75005355

@freemanchari Cde Freeman,I thought you are trying to galvanize support from people of different backgrounds to fight this mutilation of the constitution Why do you want people to join CDF?. Isn't this CDF coming as a political party under the guise of a non-political party.
