Selbst mein Lieblingsgenre auf X ist zunehmend rückläufig: Posts von völlig Fremden über die Abgabe ihrer Bachelor-/Masterarbeit, ihr Promotionskolloquium oder die Veröffentlichung ihres ersten Buches, denen man unbekannterweise gratulieren kann. Zu Glück gibt es noch LinkedIn...

I woke up this morning, and watched the sun rise. Imagination is like sunlight, it makes things grow. It can show you the way. You know, because of it, the world is revolving. With out it, the world would be a much gloomier place, lifeless, bleak.

At this BC authors festival I was asked where I came from. “Center of the universe” I said. “Oh” came the response with rolling eyes, “Toronto.” I had meant Curve Lake. It seems a lot of people here think Toronto is the center of the universe. Who knew?

The interesting thing about hanging out at BAnff is... I would say about 2/3rds of the people who work here are young and have an accent. Apparently its a very popular place to get a job placement. Amazing. Working on accentuating my Indigenous accent. "Ever crazy you!"
