@RedPandaMining Wish I could buy right now but I'm tapped out. Just using my miners as heaters so I'm broke and cozy.

I just bought a bunch of crypto with the money I would have paid on electricity for this month. Around $7k spent. I rarely do this but looking at the cost to mint for a lot of coins that I was mining, it just did not make sense vs buying. Not saying it’s a great time to buy now or not but a lot of coins have gone down to levels where buying just makes a lot more sense vs mining. What I was spending on electric and the time it takes to mine the same amount vs buying was a massive difference at current price levels for some of these alts. Alephium and Kaspa are just 2 examples. At my 7.4c USD electric rate it’s rough out there for altcoin mining on GPUs and Asics. Bitcoin and Scrypt mining currently is still doing decent but everything else is in the negative for me mining wise. I’m still keeping all my GPUs and most of my asics until times get better and it will.

@RedPandaMining Many of us have come to this same cross roads. Don’t forget degradation of hardware. “Wear and tear” has real costs as equipment ages and inevitably need service or replacement. Had been mining rvn as a hobby with 1 last eth rig but my elec costs just 2x so had to shut it off.
