The Flash Beasts are no longer as they have been transformed into tokens 🙁
However, that does mean it's time for my @luciddrakes to take center stage.

Every few decades, the same pattern plays out:
1. Money gets printed faster than the economy grows.
2. Inflation eats away savings and purchasing power.
3. People rush into hard assets like gold, real estate, and commodities to protect their wealth
Inflation isn’t some accident
It’s the system working exactly as designed
Fiat loses value over time, and hard assets absorb the fallout
Gold has always been the hedge, but here’s the problem:
-Traditional gold investments are slow and inefficient
-ETFs are just paper gold—you don’t actually own it
-Physical gold? Storage fees, lack of liquidity, and hard to move
Tokenized gold is the modern solution to an ancient problem.
Real, 1:1 backed gold, instant liquidity, no storage, no paperwork, no middlemen
Hard assets are no longer just for governments and institutions
Orogold makes them accessible to everyone

This is what I experienced for the first half of my career and still find really difficult to explain to people in Singapore (or, they just don’t believe me).
When I started working on @sgbuidl, I got feedback that some in the community were unsure of my involvement because they didn’t understand why I’d volunteer so much of my time to help build this community. They couldn’t see an ulterior motive, so they assumed it was just well hidden, rather than recognizing that it actually didn’t exist.
This is also why communities take years to build, not months. Culture is the hardest thing to get right. You have to fight human nature in many ways and fight off corrupting forces once you succeed and others want to jump onboard.
As a great leader once said, “he must have that iron in him”…

The number one reason to move to SF is to experience the “pay it forward” culture. It’s unlike anywhere in the world where you constantly see random acts of kindness for no “return” whatsoever. Tech, in general, has this abundance mindset that then translates to people embodying it and being transactional ends up being like organ rejection. Even if you visit for a few weeks, you usually experience it and then you can take it to wherever you decide to stay long term.
