🇬🇧 Just announced: Today at @BritishArmy HQ, I confirmed we're waiving the visa fee for Commonwealth vets & Gurkhas with 6 years' service in the British Armed Forces who want to settle here. It's only right that we support those who've done extraordinary work for our country.

So you can come into the UK seeking asylum and quite rightly pay no fee to stay. But Fijians and others can be recruited into HM Forces, fight "For Queen and Country" but when they're done serving, get made to pay thousands if they want to stay. Calamity.
