Growing up, the Basques (E-E team) were one of the coolest parts of cycling to me. Have been to the area and race twice and love it, Worry a bit the 3 most popular riders (Bilbao, Izagirre, Landa) retiring, with what feels like a light pipeline…

Cycling will always be popular there, and at the Bilbao TT the basque riders on Euskaltel got cheers as big as the GC contenders - just think cycling is a better sport when Basques are doing well and hope there is a strong next generation.
