Look at resemblence to June/July 2021 - We've had full scale capitulation then too 📉 June '21 - $BTC corrected -55% from ATH then, but it was not approved back then by any major financial institutions back then June '24 - $BTC corrected -24% from ATH now, but we have ETF, and major financial institutions backing it now hence lesser draw-down (could still go lower ofc) - Did $ETH lag? Yes, it did. - Did it outperform $BTC? Yes, it did. - Will it repeat the story this time? I believe it will, once $ETH ETF gets approved. - Did lotsa Alts pop like crazy then? Yes, they did. 🧨Alts got destroyed in both cases, why? It's simple - they are top speculative assets in the cryptocurrency space. Most volatile, depending on their market capitalization. We invest in them for asymmetrical gains, to outperform $ETH and $BTC, right? So we have to accept that volatility can also happen to the down-side too. ♻ Difference between '21 and '24? We have substantialy more Alts now, so the market is far more dilluted. So what I do is pick a narrative and look out for what the market sees fit at the given month/quarter/cycle and place my bets there. Right now, world-wide, we have enormous growth in the AI sector, and I really believe it will remain this way for quite some time. 💡So what to do, how to time the entries? At this point, my way of going about it is to look for Alts that resemble Stage 2 of the crypto "J Curve", so I can get my bids in before the uptrend happens - Sure, I have to endure up to 40% dips sometimes, but that's why there is this thing called "DCA". A lot of the alts are so badly oversold, that they do not wish to take any more "beating", as in current holder base does not want to sell at these levels, which usually creates the local bottom. That's when I bid. 💵 How will I go about cashing out? Once I see that "J Curve" hit Stage 3, that's the time for me to cash out bit by bit to stables, and if $ETH hasn't really broken 4.5K$, I might just rotate capital there. If there is no Stage 3, I will just rotate the loosers/positions that do not feel asymmetrical to me into $TAO or $ETH / any other position that is primed for launch but hasn't yet and wait for it to pop. I could honestly just dunk it all into $ETH / $BTC, wait for some fireworks and cash out to hit my bull target, but just like most of you - my risk tolerance is larger, so I will play around with Alts as well. 🛍Some of my holdings include: $ETH, $NEURAL, $TAO, $NMT, $RS, $PADRE, $EAVE, $TAOBOT, $METAL, $FROG, $SHOG, $FLT I hold them because I see how the teams operate and I see an asymmetrical opportunity there to the upside. I am diversified within the LowCap sector to mitigate potential risks related to them. This is my strategy - happy to see how it works out in 3-6 months time.
