George Floyd’s life was taken from him 6 years ago today.
There are 5 main points I'd like to make today as we remember this man:
1) The Police acted in disgusting fashion and were WRONG.
We need to learn from this, make new laws to make sure this doesn't ever happen again. We need to see to it that we hire people who know better and are trained to deal with such situations humanely.
2) Police Are NOT the Enemy.
One of the most stressful jobs on the planet is a Police officer. They protect us and save lives daily. They put other people before themselves and their own mental states. There are bad cops, but the vast majority of police are heroes.
3) Don't let the riots and damage after Floyd's death define Floyd as a man or overshadow what happened here.
Destruction and riots are NEVER the answer. To those who rioted, you are wrong.
4) Stop Pretending that Floyd's Past remotely makes his Death any less tragic.
Good people do bad things. Good people who do bad things also do good things. We've all done things we regret. Don't let his past diminish his right to live, or how horrible the actions of the officers were.
5) Use this to Unite People, Not Divide Them
Floyd's death should be a catalyst for change. It should spark conversations and ignite dialogue. It should inspire peaceful activism and teach us all how to be better.

@213Clipset Bruh Bidens Presidency was an utter failure…
One of, if not the worst Presidents since 1975.

@LePapillonBlu2 You do realize that the medical coverage in other G7 countries sucks right?
To get legitimate medical care you have to pay out of pocket for private medical care.
The “Medicare” over there is stretched too thin, and the wait to just see a GP is 6-9 months.
English

@RossKneeDeep 2008, when Obama started bombing everything that moved, gas prices sky rocketed, and he reintroduced a racial divide.
The current state of affairs are all directly linked to the Obama Administration, and its negative effects on the Millennial generation.
English

@Suzierizzo1 Oh look, another liberal just making up nonsense again…
Left wingers never rely on facts…it’s really sad.
English

@Catholic_Bob @gunbunny15 @davidgoffin @k1rallik Because the announcement of his shows cancellation came last year….
“Mental gymnastics” is hilarious because I just forwarded you fact based sources…
Meanwhile, you… “Colbert was losing $40 million, so this must be Trumps fault, even though there is 0 evidence of it”
English

@TrollBSports @gunbunny15 @davidgoffin @k1rallik An article from july is accurately reporting on what just happened ….. did you google buzz words and then copy paste without looking?
Why are you people like this? No one can lose $40 million a year and stay employed
Your mental gymnastics are weird

🚨 do you understand what happened to Stephen Colbert..
24 hours after his final Late Show, Colbert hijacked a tiny public access channel in Monroe, Michigan with Jack White, Eminem, Jeff Daniels and Steve Buscemi.
Now Paramount - the company that just cancelled his show - is mass-blocking every reupload worldwide via Content ID. And the deeper you dig, the worse it looks:
- The finale pulled 6.74M viewers - a weeknight record over 11 years
- Eminem cameoed as "Marshall, the fire marshal" to greenlight torching the set
- The same day Trump posted an AI video of throwing Colbert into a dumpster, Colbert aired footage of himself burning a real one
- Mayday Network and verified journalist Matthew Keys both got blocked globally - for sharing a community access show
Paramount cancelled his show to silence him. Instead they handed him a Streisand-effect comeback 10x bigger than the show ever was.
Matthew Keys@MatthewKeysLive
Paramount is apparently trying to suppress copies of "Only in Monroe" from appearing on other social platforms by filing frivolous copyright notices, even though the show was produced by a public access TV channel and doesn't use their intellectual property...

@clarencehilljr He’s preaching truth…you should try it some time 🤡
English

@LACentrist Why can you not use common sense?
One introduced the current president, at a rally, on HIS time.
The other decided to make a statement DURING a nationally broadcasted sporting event..
These are not the same things, and if you think they are, then you must be retarded.
English

Let me put it to you this way, if Kamala were president and all she did was sit in the Oval Office, drink wine and watch reruns of The View, our country would be ten times better off than it is right now.
Katie Miller@KatieMiller
Thank god she’s not our President.

@Catholic_Bob @gunbunny15 @davidgoffin @k1rallik Not random, it’s a link to an article by the New York Post from July 18th, 2025. It just happened to appear on FB, hence the link.

@DCRick_ Obama is war criminal, and a perpetuator of mass genocide.
English

When did Obama lead an insurrection?
Gina Milan@ginamilan_
Jalen Hurts was hanging out with Obama taking selfies, and guess what? No one gave a single shit.
English

@clarencehilljr @clarencehilljr is a race baiter, plain and simple.
English

Black NFL players need to stand up for their communities when it comes to politics.
It’s not enough to go back and do camp, give away turkeys at Christmas and Thanksgiving and support single mothers.
The problems are systemic and they can only be fixed at the ballot box.
Too many stay silent for the team. The team is at home first
English

@Boolin32 @SC993167638 @ginamilan_ “Racist things” aka “we disagree with his stances, and we can’t handle that”
The left is the party of division and hate 🤣
English

@SC993167638 @ginamilan_ These ppl do racist things but can’t stand by it because they’re cowards
English

@KenHeLive No, Obama just lied about being a US citizen, and is married to a man.
Also, he’s in just as deep as any other IS president with the “powers at be”.
The media just tries to demonize Trump, because he called them out in 2016.
English

Probably because Obama isn’t a racist sex offender.
Gina Milan@ginamilan_
Jalen Hurts was hanging out with Obama taking selfies, and guess what? No one gave a single shit.

@amicwatson @Giants_muse Carter isn’t a leader of the team…
To be a leader of the team you need to be a productive player/veteran of the league, not a 2nd year player coming off a disappointing season.
What a dipshit
English

@Giants_muse By letting the leaders of the team talk. Dart is a leader of the team. So is Carter. A conversation needs to be had and it will be had.
English

@TazimWajidWajed Do you need a Snickers?
Get some food, and really think before you start to spew abhorrent, ignorant & intolerant bull shit.
For years the right has had to deal with these labels, all while the left enforces policies that limit freedom and personnel rights.
Stupid ass take
English

Let me help you all out who’re attempting to chastise Abdul Carter. The jig is up with you pretentious bigots parading as fans. The locker room doesn’t suddenly absolve anyone of aligning with abhorrent humanity that’s actively through governmental policies ostracizing the majority demographic within the damn locker room.
Please know that the acceptability and docile politics is over for most of us whose faces you’ve chosen to “smile” in the front while stabbing us in the back for over 400 years!
By all means speak your mind young man. If Dart is exercising his right and freedom to promote an adjudicated sexual assaulter, felon, bigot, and man who feels “grabbing women by the pussy” is OK, then Carter damn sure has the right and freedom to call his ass out!
JUST FOR CLARITY… To the Trump & Dart apologists. We don’t give a fuck about your opinions. We’re not seeking either agreement nor approval. So what if you don’t like us… We don’t like your racist, sexist, homophobic, and just downright awful asses either!!! ✌🏾
