@FLStormChasers_ @MatthewCappucci You can post that possible environmental conditions could support something to spin-up somewhere farther out, but keep tracks and intensity until they are clear. Post that conditions are possible for a storm to *develop,* but then cut the frames when they reach a doubtful range.

Cherry-picking the most extreme model solution and then posting it with only “there are many possibilities!” isn’t meteorology — it’s social media engagement farming. Hurricane season begins tomorrow. Rely on reputable sources who impart value — not engagement farmers.

As noted by @WxTca, the convective similarities between Hurricane #Helene and Michael (2018) in similar locations in the Gulf are remarkable. Both have an asymmetric CDO on the NW side, an ongoing burst in the N eyewall, and a thin band in the SE eyewall.
