chrono trigger gives you choices without presenting them as choices which already puts it ahead of most of the genre

YouTube Update! I cannot thank this community enough for the support and suggestions. I want to go into some details but I won't bury the lede: My YouTube channel is back! You helped immeasurably by sharing this story and posting your thoughts and indignation. You folks are fantastic. My appreciation is real, and you all deserved huge pats on the back. Thank you for the help. I deeply believe the X community moved the needle on this, which I couldn't have done on my own, but it'll take a few words to explain. Feel free to skip the rest of this post knowing you helped someone. First some quick background. My YouTube channel never had many hits, and I haven't uploaded to it in a while, but its removal really hurt for a specific reason: eight years ago I published an interactive puzzle book called STOP A MURDER, where the reader can solve puzzles to prevent a crime. While you read the book (ebook or paper), you logged onto a website on your phone or PC and answered puzzles from a killer. It's fiction, obviously, so it wasn't a real killer. Just a puzzle/novel hybrid that I tried to make fun and immersive. Five of those answers linked to unlisted YouTube videos, which were part of the interactive story line. When my YouTube channel was cancelled, those vids were gone. It ruined one of my favorite parts of the book. Readers could no longer get the full Stop A Murder experience without those vids. Yesterday, based on suggests on X and in the DMs (including a lengthy back and forth with mega YouTuber The Automatic Singer) I emailed the YouTube Copyright Team with a properly formatted counter notification. At 5am this morning, I got an email from YouTube: "Dear Joe Konrath, Thank you for your counter notification. Based on the information you provided, it appears that you do not have the necessary rights to post the content on YouTube. Therefore, we regretfully cannot honor your request. It has not been forwarded to the original claimant, and we will not be able to restore your video. To learn more about copyright, you may visit YouTube’s Copyright Center. Keep in mind that copyright strikes expire after three months, as long as you’ve completed Copyright School. We unfortunately are unable to assist further in this matter. - The YouTube Team" This email gutted me. After getting optimistic from all the engagement my X post was getting, this sounded like an automated response, and I wondered if a human being actually intervened. As I was moping, YouTube sent a follow-up email. "Dear Joe Konrath, Please disregard our initial decision for this counter notification. Thank you for your counter notification. It has now been forwarded to the claimant that submitted the copyright removal request and the associated penalties on your channel may be cleared. Now that the counter notification has been sent to the claimant, they have 10 US business days from this date to respond. The claimant must respond with evidence that they’ve taken legal action against you to keep the content at issue from being reinstated to YouTube. You can learn more about what legal action the claimant must take in our Help Center. After 10 US business days, if we don't get a response from the claimant, your content will be reinstated to YouTube." So... WE WON! I am betting that all of the traffic on X led to someone on the YouTube Team reviewing my case, and now my channel has returned (except for those four audiobooks, but I am guessing they could return in 10 days.) Thanks again for all of your help, denizens of X! Also thanks to YouTube for doing the right thing. I've heard from many YouTubers who have been banned or demonetized, and I feel your pain and hope you get fair and speedy resolutions. I also want to shout out to my frequent collaborator, @annvosspeterson who co-wrote WATCHED TO LONG (one of the audiobooks taken down) who had professional skin in this game. Ann is an amazing writer, and a great member of the writing community. If you read or write fiction, she's worth following on X. Thanks again everyone! I'll be grinning like an idiot all day...

🚨 YOUTUBE / GOOGLE HACK EXPOSURE 🚨 Sayuri Artsy (3D Artist) got phished and fully hijacked by a hacker in Istanbul, Turkey. - Hacker stole Sayuri Gmail + YouTube channel - Hacker deleted Sayuri YouTube channel - Hacker added Google Family Link parental controls to bypass 2FA and lock Sayuri out completely - Sayuri had US-only activity proof, State Police, and FBI reports. Google/YouTube closed the case. YouTube literally told the victim to DELETE her own exposure post (she refused). Support is now just spamming pre-written replies and saying the case is closed forever and will not be reopened in the future. This is how they “protect” creators while hackers run wild?
