When wwe signs you to a contract, they can cut you without honoring the agreed time frame of the contract . Sometimes burning a company that could provide you several guaranteed years of employment (ex. Aew, njpw) for a wwe conttact that can cut you in a year of a 3 year contract might not be worth it. The good bros. Signed a big contract & wwe didnt honor it is a good example. Aleister black was employed by aew for 3 years & only got 1 year out of a wwe contract Jeff cobb left njpw & only got 1 year out of wwe.

Yes, 4 years is a lot for a 31 year old edge. However, not wanting to get into these bidding wars for upgrades at key positions in FA is part of the reason the Colts have been so mid. You gotta pay to play or have exceptional drafts.
