St Conans Kirk, Loch Awe, basking in the spring colours of yellow and blue. 💛💙

The yellow gorse is beginning to bloom, the daffodils are sprouting up and we are keeping a keen eye out for the first lambs of the season. Spring has arrived!

The Battle of the Pass of Brander (Loch Awe) in Scotland forms a small part of what's known as the Wars of Scottish Independence, which was a victory for King Robert Bruce over the MacDougalls of Argyll. The date is not exactly know but the late summer of 1308 is most likely.
