I want to come back, but for an extended visit. Last time I visited I was there for a week, but had to rush to see all the things I wanted. I want to be able to relax and take everything in the next time I'm there. Also interested in trying to live there for a while, but I hear that is hard to achieve as a foreigner.

@mnty_ocean BBQ and Hispanic food are my go to. Also a huge fan of Ramen and Sushi. It's just hard to find good places for those in the US.

I love this misconception that people pirating something means they will never pay for it. I wouldn't have a problem paying for shows/series if: A. They were actually released here B. They weren't butchered by localizers, leading to the pirated fan translations, more often than not, being the better product. I usually find other ways to support the creators, like buying the original source material (light novel/manga) that it came from. That way I can at least try and help ensure the series I like can continue being made. Piracy is almost always a supply chain/convenience issue, and sometimes a quality one as well. If I could, easily, get these things here, and actual care was taken when translating them for my language, I would be more than happy to purchase them or a platform hosting them. The sad reality is that this isn't the case though, which is how we ended up where we are now.

I can't believe people have already forgotten that the main reason Steam even does this is to: 1. Prevent people/publishers from abusing their steam keys system, by offering keys for cheap on other platforms/storefronts. 2. Prevent storefronts like epic from buying out games/publishers after they had already announced the game for steam and then telling them that actually it will only be available on their storefront for the first year. Like have we really already forgotten how anticonsumer epic was for the first several years of their storefront? Buying out games that had already been shown to be releasing on steam only to then hit you with a 6-12 month epic exclusivity announcement later down the road. This wasn't something they always did. This was a response to shady practices being pulled by other companies. This isn't to say that steam is a flawless platform, but rather to say that these practices are not a problem. Keeping prices/releases fair across the board is not an issue. If the other platforms want people to go to them, then they should actually try and offer a better service.
