I will never forget this unplanned, Holy Spirit–filled moment during Charlie Kirk’s memorial when the band began to play and the crowd held up signs with Charlie’s face that said, “Here I am, Lord send me.” It felt like, for a brief moment, tragedy might spark a spiritual revival and unify Christians on the Right. But in the months since, things have felt increasingly divided and disoriented. It appears we've lost people to a conspiratorial world view and pro-Islam world view. I asked @JeremyDBoreing whether we’re heading toward a great revival or total fracture. His answer, and his reflection on Pentecost, is powerful:

250 years ago, before America declared independence from Great Britain, AMERICA FIRST declared dependence upon a great God. On May 17, 1776, the founders called for a day of humiliation, fasting, prayer, and repentance in the midst of national shaking. This Sunday, 250 years later, “Rededicate 250” in Washington D.C. marks that historic call back to humility, prayer, and dependence upon God. America’s foundations are shaking again; so if America is going to shake, let her shake with godly fear in the one true God again.

One of the dangers of living in a culture constantly flooded with darkness is that people slowly lose sensitivity to it. What once shocked the conscience eventually becomes entertainment. Tragedy becomes trendy. Violence becomes viral. And hearts grow colder with every scroll. Jesus warned that in the last days “because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). The answer is not to become numb alongside the culture, but to ask God to keep our hearts tender, discerning, reverent, and awake to truth.

UFO disclosure. The rapture. Strong delusion. The devil always prepares an alibi before he pushes the lie. “The aliens did it.”

When the foundations of a culture begin to crack, the Church must not panic, it must stand on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. Moments of shaking are often invitations from God to return to humility, repentance, discernment, and deeper dependence upon Him. “If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3)

Everyone builds their life on something. Some build on success, some on comfort, some on control, but storms have a way of revealing what cannot hold us up. God never promised a life without shaking, but He did promise an unshakable kingdom. The question is not whether shaking will come. The question is what your life is standing on when it does. Those anchored in Christ do not stand because they are strong, but because He is. “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock" (Matthew 7:24).

A culture that turns death into entertainment is a culture that has lost its conscience. This isn’t just about one viral video. It’s about what happens when a generation is discipled by algorithms instead of truth… where tragedy becomes trendy, grief becomes content, and viral moments are chased at the expense of virtue. Jesus warned: “Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” — Matthew 24:12 The answer is not to simply keep scrolling. It’s to stop. Reflect. Repent. And ask God for a return to truth, reverence, conviction, and the fear of the Lord.

The sudden obsession with UFOs/UAPs and “non-human intelligence” is more than curiosity, it’s conditioning. A Christ-rejecting world will need an explanation when the Church is gone. The Bible already warned of strong delusion, lying wonders, and a generation prepared to believe anything except the truth. The devil always prepares an alibi before he pushes the lie.

You cannot convince people who are committed to believing lies. And when you understand the spiritual dynamic behind what is happening, you begin to realize we are watching the reprobate mind unfold in real time. A darkened heart eventually produces a darkened mind. Be careful who you allow to shape your thinking. Many of today’s loudest voices are not speaking from truth, but from spiritual blindness.

While much of the Western church debates comfort, 360 million believers around the world are facing persecution for the name of Jesus. Imprisoned. Tortured. Executed. The same Bible collecting dust in America costs people everything in other nations. The question is no longer if darkness is increasing. The question is: what is God preparing His Church for?

Prayer is not our last resort, it is our lifeline to God. Throughout Scripture, prayer was the difference between fear and faith, defeat and victory, wandering and wisdom. Prayer reminds us that we are not carrying life alone. It is where burdens are exchanged for peace, confusion is met with clarity, and weakness is strengthened by God’s presence. A prayerless life slowly leans on self, but a praying life continually leans on the Lord. “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers” (1 Peter 4:7).

The problem isn’t that truth is unavailable, it’s that it’s unapplied. Many know Scripture, but few are shaped by it, and a faith that isn’t lived will eventually be lost. When God’s Word is not the lens, the world becomes the guide. Let the truth of Scripture move from your head to your life, because transformation (not information) is the goal. “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22).

The difference between a soul at rest and a soul arrested is the foundation beneath it. If it’s not built on the truth of Christ, that ground won’t free you, it will bind you. As it is written in Book of Jeremiah 6:16: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” ‍

What heaven mourns, the world mocks. And while every move of God draws people in, it also draws the serpent out. Pay attention. The Lord is exposing hearts. Those who speak like the serpent are revealing themselves. God will not be mocked.

It never starts with force. It always starts with labels. “Selfish.” “Dangerous.” “Misinformed.” They didn’t debate, they demonized. This wasn’t policy gone wrong, this was the playbook all along. And like a boa constrictor, the spirit of the age doesn’t attack all at once, it constricts. Slowly. Subtly. Strategically. Divide. Shame. Silence. But the Church was never called to suffocate, we were called to breathe truth.
