@JasonKhamoro @MotorCityBanter Funny thats what many said last year. Lol
English

@DetSportsRamble @KuKhahil And injuries don't happen every year? The point I was making is you don't know what will happen. You think you know because you are caught in names instead of team cohesiveness and constructions. 76ers for instance which player of the top 3.5 players is taking a backseat?
English

Of course not. Nobody did. But as I said it was a weird year. I’m not taking anything away from them, it was an impressive turnaround. But let’s look back through the schedule and tell me if you think those same wins will translate into next season. We swept Philly (4 games), swept Indy (4 games), took 3/4 from Toronto…those teams have all vastly improved heading into 2027 while the Pistons may arguably be WORSE depending on what happens with Duren. Even bottom feeders like Washington and Chicago are better. Are we expecting Ausar to magically go from the 5th option on offense to Cade’s bonafide running mate? Because unless that happens I cannot fathom how this team is a top 3 seed as of now
English

The Athletic graded the Pistons offseason last year a B-, Bleacher Report graded it a C.
They jumped from 44 to 60 wins and a playoff series.
CBS Sports gave the Pistons 2024 offseason a C-. FoxSports graded it a D+.
They jumped from 14 to 44 wins and avoided the play-in.
jack@shinjukuface
what’d they rate it before we jumped from 14 to 44 wins and then to 60
English

@AntBoddie @mr_staf @FastbreakHoops5 All I'm going to say is 4-6 in the Finals. Loss more than he won. Jordan played the competition that was in front of him and dominated them into submission. While ya boy LBJ was getting packed up 6 times. Jordan didn't let that happen. Didn't even let it get to a game 7.
English

@Truthtella2011 @mr_staf @FastbreakHoops5 I was being sarcastic meaning what is that lil shyt compared to any team lebron faced in the finals who tf is gary payton lol
English

@MrDetroit_313 @KuKhahil No botton line is Landgon did address the biggest issue which was not creation. It was having more players with shooting gravity that will in turn create space for Cade and Duren to operate. Detroit won 60 games with 1 elite 3pt shooter last year. What happens with 4?
English

Ku, let’s keep it simple.
It’s practically the same roster, added a little more catch and shoot shooting.. but have yet to still add another creator and bucket getter.
60 wins was fun. It equated to a second round exit as the 1 seed. The Pistons haven’t addressed the why behind they lost this offseason, they’ve just replaced some parts.
We can no longer sit here and say “well we won 14 games three seasons ago” or “well look what they said about us before” … who cares! At the end of the day, it’s about the now. Expectations have changed. Comparing ourselves to the dumpster isn’t healthy in any facet of life; congrats, you aren’t utter dog shit, but winners compare themselves to the top not the bottom.
Pistons have a long way to go. They’ve pitched the same old “internal growth” and “next offseason is the splash move” for 5+ years now.
Name another first team all NBA player with less offensive help than Cade when we know that’s the key thing holding the Pistons back?
Trajan Langdon gotta step it up.
English

@RobertD73356678 @KuKhahil Mobley (DMVP) and Allen one of the better defensive centers in the league are below average? Interesting
English

@KuKhahil Fuck him, dude got owned by below average centers in the playoffs, all he can do is dunk and rebound. Go get Sabonis and a 1st
English

If at any point the threat of QO becomes a possibility, he needs to be traded.
Oh No He Didn't@ohnohedidnt24
Chris Haynes on Jalen Duren: "If he takes that (qualifying offer)...he really wants out, he is fed up...he doesn't want to be there. Even if that's the case I would say do not do that"
English

@DetSportsRamble @KuKhahil Quick question the East was predicted to be weak at the beginning of the season. Did you pick the Pistons to win 60 games or get the number 1 seed?
English

Respectfully disagree Ku. Jury is still out on Langdon. Those 60 wins were accrued in a uniquely weak East during a season where nearly half the league was openly tanking. And if not for Franz’ injury and an historic scoring drought in game 6, this team was headed for one of the most embarrassing postseason exits of all time.
Now the conference has gotten exponentially better. Pistons have only improved slightly on the margins and the Duren saga still hasn’t been resolved. It’s easier to sneak up on teams when no one takes you seriously, NOW there’s expectation. And to this point the team, at least on paper, doesn’t look definitively better than last year’s squad in any way, shape or form.
English

@AntBoddie @mr_staf @FastbreakHoops5 What are you talking about Gary Payton avg 18 7 and 6 homeboy. Simple google search would do wonders
English

@AntBoddie @mr_staf @FastbreakHoops5 You out your mind. Gary Payton and Kemp weren't a joke. Boy stop
English

@mr_staf @FastbreakHoops5 And that same dallas team woulda killed the fuckin super sonics my point goofy ass mf
English

@DiegoUmejuarez @SleeperPistons No what most people want is to dictate his worth and tell him what he should and shouldn't be focused for his career. His earning potential means nothing to them. That's why nobody wants to come to Detroit a good chunk of the fanbase is trash.
English

@SleeperPistons I don't think most fans are against him as a player. It just feels like he isn't as invested in staying here as we are in keeping him. I get get players wanting to maximize their value, but if the reports are true that he's looking for 40M a year, I don't think he's shown enough.
English

Is anyone else kind of sad the entire Pistons fanbase turned on Jalen Duren?
There’a definitely merit behind it but still, if he’s a Piston entering next season we should all be behind him! 💯

English

@BigginsInUSA @DetroitHeckler @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports You really have nothing to say. Just a simple parrot with no depth to you. Lol. Is the playoff thing the only thing you can hold on to? You wouldn't giving up JB, Kobe, if you saw some of their early playoffs appearances.
English

@Truthtella2011 @DetroitHeckler @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports You must have seen hard work and effort everyone else didn't see in the playoffs.
English

Victor Wembanyama TAKING A PAY CUT while Jalen Duren ASKS FOR MORE MONEY!? 👀
WHAT WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN? SIGN JALEN DUREN!
Woodward Sports Network@woodwardsports
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 Victor Wembanyama might be willing to accept less than the max to keep the San Antonio Spurs in championship contention. (per @JakeLFischer) “Spurs family, I’m here to stay, whatever it takes🖤”
English

@BigginsInUSA @DetroitHeckler @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports He's improve every year. You can't fix everything all at one time. I guess you would have given up players like Jermaine O'Neil, Jimmy Butler, Steph Curry, Giannis, because they weren't great right off the bat. They didn't develop all their skills by year 4. Bro stop
English

@Truthtella2011 @DetroitHeckler @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports If Jalen Duren is hardworking and has never learned a post move or how to shoot in 15 years of playing basketball, that's more reason to let him go. He just lacks the hand eye coordination to ever learn to shoot in that case if he's tried his whole life and failed to learn.
English

@DetroitHeckler @Truthtella2011 @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports And at the same time you could say the same about a guy similar to Duren in DeAndre Ayton, 1 playoffs didn't define who he was, got overpaid, and hasn't lived up to his contract.
English

The Detroit Pistons will be a fun team to watch at the very least , with Cade and Ebuka breaking down their man at will , and kicking it out to
Isaiah Joe
Duncan Robinson
Kevin Huerter
Javonte Green
Gary Harris
Danis Jenkins
John Collins
Taurean Prince
And hopefully Ron Holland
We have never seen this many shooters before
Detroit Basketball .
English

@BigginsInUSA @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports @DetroitHeckler Funny thing is when he returns you'll be happy and cheering. As he drops another double and make another allstar appearance. I still don't understand why him trying to get his bag bothers you. Seems like envy to me. Personally, I don't care what he gets I get nothing.
English

@Truthtella2011 @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports @DetroitHeckler Lol that lack of awareness is unprecedented. He's been a free agent for almost 2 weeks, begging every team to do a supermax sign and trade, and not a single team has offered him the RFA max of 4 years $176 million. He's unwanted by 30 teams in the NBA.
English

@BigginsInUSA @DetroitHeckler @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports And Cade couldn't live on $25M also? The money shouldn't matter to you and it's not a dictator of character or work ethic it's a business and in a business maximize your profits.
English

@Truthtella2011 @DetroitHeckler @donttalkmuch__ @woodwardsports Making $25 million for the next 8 years won't provide generational wealth? You need $40 million? Then you were going to go broke if I gave you $100 million per year anyway, because you have no idea what to do with money.
English

@MikeyyDaHomeyy @nsitto2 According to reports he's not asking for anything near Cade's contract. He's asking for 40M per? So again what is the problem?
English

@Truthtella2011 @nsitto2 wtf do you mean he don’t deserve it, do he deserve to get paid yes. Do he deserve to get paid anything near what Cade is making or even a Max? HELL FUCK NO
English

Jalen Duren is hilarious
Jake Fischer@JakeLFischer
There has been word this morning in Las Vegas that Victor Wembanyama is considering signing less than his maximum rookie scale extension to provide San Antonio greater financial flexibility. More NBA from @TheSteinLine here: tinyurl.com/d8a6n7u9
