There's a concern about a potential misunderstanding regarding the nature of the upcoming election, particularly in the northern region. According to past statements and manifestos, both Obi and Atiku have proposed a smaller government, which some interpret as a potential move towards contracting out essential services to private entities, potentially leading to job losses among government employees. Additionally, their stances on government loans and international food imports have raised eyebrows. Obi, for instance, has termed certain loans as wasteful, and some fear that free technical schools might be phased out under their leadership. Perhaps most notably, Obi's proposal to ban food imports, despite data showing Nigeria currently produces less than half of its food needs, has led to predictions of skyrocketing food prices, with some suggesting a bag of rice could reach 170,000 naira. n Another area of concern revolves nn their alleged plans to reintroduce a dual exchange rate system, labeled "targeted." Critics worry that this system, historically prone to corruption, would involve a list of favored companies receiving subsidized exchange rates. Past experiences suggest that many beneficiaries of such lists were politically connected individuals who exploited the system for personal gain without significantly contributing to the economy. In contrast, the current PBAT government is being presented as a potential beacon of hope for breaking the cycle of poverty, particularly for those in the North. Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of government initiatives such as technical schools, universities, and programs like the Anchor Borrowers Program to acquire new skills and enhance their economic prospects. The individuals associated with the ADC are also facing scrutiny for their past actions and alleged contributions to the current economic challenges. Questions are being raised about the impact of several prominent figures: * **Aregbesola:** Served as Interior Minister for 8 years and Governor of Osun State for another 8 years, during which he allegedly paid half salaries. * **Atiku:** Served as Vice President but is facing accusations of corruption and selling state assets at discounted prices to associates under the guise of privatization. He has been linked to several scandals, including Halliburton and Jefferson. * **Chibike:** Served as Governor for 8 years and a minister for another 8 years. Accusations have surfaced regarding his wife's company receiving major contracts during his administration. * **Obi:** Ruled Anambra State for 8 years. Allegations against him include tax evasion, investing state funds in family businesses, and failing to account for interest earned on state deposits. He is also criticized for long-running doctors' strikes, a lack of new school construction, and alleged exam fraud in his state. * **Dav Mark:** Spent 20 years in the Senate with minimal achievements. He is also linked to the annulment of the June 12 election. * **Dinzo:** Known for his association with the PDP and alleged involvement in controversial activities, including receiving dollars at the official rate and exchanging them on the black market. He is also criticized for his showy display of wealth. * **Malamii:** Former Attorney General for 8 years facing accusations of selling seized EFCC properties at discounted prices and alleged involvement in questionable financial activities. These criticisms and concerns highlight the complex political landscape in Nigeria and the various factors that voters are likely to consider as they make their decisions in the upcoming election.

I am not a supporter of the INEC Chairman, Amupitan, due to his past bigotry and Islamophobic remarks against Muslims and Northerners. But faking and associating a Twitter account that doesn’t belong to him just to tarnish his image is wrong. Even if you don’t like someone, you should still be fair and do justice to them. ADC and their supporters need to learn how to practice ethical opposition without resorting to lies. Trying to paint the INEC Chairman as a Tinubu supporter just to discredit the 2027 election results especially if it doesn’t favor them is not only dishonest but dangerous for our democracy.

Amupitan should resign over what now? Instead of calling for the resignation of the leadership of the caliphate, who are known sponsors of terrorist jihadists, you are all calling for the resignation of an innocent man. You can imagine how these clowns would be tossing around OBI if he were to be president.

"BBC NEWS GOES ONE ON ONE WITH OUR LEADER, ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR. - April 11, 2026" BBC News Interview His Excellency, the former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON (Full Transcript) BBC Correspondent: I've been talking to Atiku Abubakar for Newsday. I asked first about those accusations against the electoral commission. Atiku: Well, we are accusing them of, first of all, misinterpreting the law, even though it's not their responsibility to do that. The courts have already interpreted the law. And then, of course, we also accuse them of bias. BBC Correspondent: And the bias that you're accusing them of is what? To continue the rule of President Tinubu to keep him in power? Atiku: For sure. BBC Correspondent: And just talk me through how you think that's happened. What is it you think the commission has done that's trying to maintain the status quo wrongly, in your view? Atiku: The commission has not acted according to law because we have a number of cases decided even by the Supreme Court, that the internal affairs of political parties are not the prerogative of any agency other than the political parties themselves, but they have ignored the ruling, even of the highest court in the land. BBC Correspondent: I understand you're saying that they've not abided by the law, but in what way? By doing what? Atiku: By doing what they have done. They ought not to have removed the officials of the ADC from the National Electoral Commission portal. They ought not to have done that. BBC Correspondent: And you've talked about the enthronement of a dictatorship. You describe what's going on in those terms? Atiku: Yes, we use dictatorship because we have seen evidence of government interference in the electoral process, as well as even the judicial process in the country. BBC Correspondent: So you're seeing your role in this as to safeguard the country's democracy? Atiku: Absolutely, because it's been four decades that I have been involved in trying to make sure that democracy is established in this country. I fought the military and we succeeded. And after just less than three decades of democracy, then political party is trying to completely overthrow what we have been able to achieve. BBC Correspondent: What would restoring democracy look like? What would need to happen? Atiku: Free, fair elections without government interference and making sure that you have an impartial electoral empire, basically. BBC Correspondent: You've also criticized President Tinubu's administration over security. Set that out for me in more detail. Atiku: Well, Nigeria is a vast country, admittedly so. But we also have, in terms of manpower, what it takes to have enough resources to be able to counter terrorism and other illegal activities going on in the country. It is quite ironic and surprising that Nigeria cannot mobilize its armed forces to be able to counter these activities. BBC Correspondent: So why do you think that's not happening? Atiku: We suspect that there is collusion. BBC Correspondent: In other words, you're saying the government wants there to be terrorism and insecurity? Atiku: Around the country, they use terrorism to intimidate people, particularly farmers, businessmen. You cannot travel. There is no security. Everywhere in the country is absolutely uncalled for. A country like Nigeria that has a huge population and a number of young men who are educated, that can be employed in the security services to protect the country, but that is not happening. BBC Correspondent: How would the government benefit from promoting terrorism and violence in this way? Atiku: Well, they scare people and they do what they want to do. BBC Correspondent: You've also talked about corruption. Some people going back to President Obasanjo’s regime, your involvement in that regime, would say how could you be the person to say Nigeria needs to deal with corruption? What do you say to that? The end of the fuel subsidy & dual exchange rate may have adversely affected the northern community. The majority of their populace hawks fuel in jerricans and sells to neighboring countries; they are also all over every state capital hawking naira and dollars. When those are off the table, their easiest trade is terrorism. Instead of blaming the federal government, the blame should be on its elites, who don't have a solid plan on how to integrate all these deplorables back into society. PBAT is building technical colleges, free for anyone who wants to retool; he will even pay them stipends to attend. He’s also making loans available to anyone who wants to attend university. The south will do 8 yrs. No cheap blackmail From the Parasitic North, it can stop it. If you all from the north make Nigeria ungovernable with your continued terrorism. Then we go back to the regional government and the resource control. In the south, we already have a system in place to supply all agricultural needs within a reasonable time.

One thing I know is that When Tinubu Leaves office, people will pass through the Badagry to Sokoto road and ask who built this road and the answer will be TINUBU. People will travel through the Coastal road and watch the Ocean as they travel and they'll ask, who built this road and the answer will be TINUBU. People will ask how come States can now Generate Electricity in Nigeria while it hasn't been so from the start and the Answer will be Tinubu did it. When researchers look into the economy of Nigeria from 2014 till 2023 and discovered that Nigeria was closed to collapse they'll ask who stopped that Subsidy money that nearly crippled the country and the answer will be Tinubu. And when People use the Enugu - Onitsha Super Highway and questions are asked the answer will be TINUBU And when those going to school now that have no sponsors become Productive tomorrow and their children ask, how were you able to go to school without sponsors they'll answer NELFUND by Tinubu. And when all the regional Development Commissions start churning out amazing results the question will be who and the answer will be Tinubu. And in the near Future when People ask their parents, how were you able to build this house in this estate, the answer will be Renewed Hope Housing and Estates by Tinubu. May God bless Nigeria always with a Leader that will do more for us like, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu COPIED!!!

ADC isn’t Tinubu’s only problem, this is another major issue. They warned him privately. He ignored them and assumed they would back down. Instead, they’ve doubled down on their demand. Now the ball is in the president’s court! Stick with Amupitan, and lose this powerful block! 🤝

GUYS!! NIGERIA, AEDC, AND TINUBU HAPPENED TO MY SMALL COMMUNITY IN LUGBE YESTERDAY!!!😥 For almost 3 years since I built my small hut in this community, we have been battling with epileptic power situation due to the overloaded Transformer which has been serving 3 communities including mine. In December 2025, after myself and a few community members spearheaded a regime change and ensured a proper election was conducted. After the election, we told the newly elected chairman (who happens to be my very very good friend) that the priority is for us to get our own dedicated Transformer for the community. Initially, we were thinking of buying. But considering it will cost over N20million to buy a 500KVA Transformer and another N15million plus for accessories and installation, the mission looked impossible. Then I and others told the Chairman that we can actually give it a try an reach out to the @aedcelectricity for a Transformer given that the @NERCNG has told Nigerians that it is the responsibility of the DISCOs to provide Transformer and any power related infrastructure to any community or area in need of such infrastructure. Considering the Nigerian factor, many, infact, almost the entire community said it was never going to be possible for AEDC to give us a Transformer free of charge. But as someone who has been an advocate of government and who has always benefited from government by following due process, I encouraged my community and the Chairman that this is actually worth a try. In January 2026, we drafted a Transformer request letter and submitted to the AEDC Head Office at Wuse Zone 4, and the processes began. Low and behold, in less than 4 months, the AEDC, yesterday, delivered a brand new 500KVA Transformer with complete accessories to my community FREE-OF-CHARGE!🤸‍♂️🕺 I have told my community people that we have started benefitting our own share of the N3.3trillion approved by President @officialABAT to GENCOs and all of us have agreed that come 2027, it is TINUBU OR NOTHING!!!🤗💪🏾 God bless the AEDC! God bless NERC!! God bless President Tinubu!!! God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬🙏🏾
