NOTICE: TSA operations remain impacted by the ongoing lapse of appropriations for DHS

ICE is operating the entire TSA pre-check operation in LaGuardia. Checking boarding passes, helping people load bags onto the scanner. TSA agents on metal detectors and screens. Massive line that stretches to the street, made it through in less than 30 minutes. ICE rocks.

At JFK Airport, as travelers waited in hours-long lines, an infant became unresponsive and stopped breathing. The panic of the child’s family and nearby passengers were heard by an ICE agent stationed at a checkpoint. This heroic officer immediately sprang into action—rushing toward the cries, taking the child, and performing a Heimlich maneuver that restored the infant’s breathing after nearly two minutes. This officer’s extraordinary bravery embodies the selfless service of DHS law enforcement.

Unmasked ICE ERO officers deployed to Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport were seen handing out bottled water to travelers waiting in TSA lines that stretched as long as four hours on Wednesday. The scene marked the third straight day immigration agents have been sent to airports to help manage long security lines caused by TSA staffing shortages.
