@jere57910 @SamOlbur It’s unbelievable how quickly fans give up on their team. We have two weeks of bad baseball after having an amazingly fun start and suddenly yall are ready to throw in the towel. I believe in these players because I’ve seen what they can do. Have some faith in your ball club.

This is 100% true. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this space in the last 3 years is that YouTube and content creation space is oversaturated. The best path to growth is finding that “niche”, and imo the narrower the better.

@SleeperCubs The cubs are a streaky offense. When they slumped last year their pitching staff kept them in the playoff race. This year we have no healthy pitchers, so likely no playoffs unless we get healthy

The Red Sox are looking for a right-handed hitter, but as rival execs note, it's a really tough fix to make it on the fly. There are very few options available for a legit RH hitter this early unless you are willing to overpay, and assuming it's a 2B or 3B, then the FO will have to wave the white flag to some degree with Durbin, who was such an important part of the FO vision.

@cody__cubs I think Ballesteros’s slump is a great example of why Cubs batters tend to have slumps. If you’re in a rut and you get a good swing off and it doesn’t find grass, I’m sure that can affect every players confidence. You start pressing and chasing pitches just begging for results.

I need someone who knows more ball than me to explain the problems with Moises Ballesteros. I know he walked twice today so perhaps a sign of good things to come but behind closed doors I think the Cubs believe he’s who replaced Kyle Tucker, not Alex Bregman. They need him to get going again.

it's almost like teams like Tampa MIL CLE HAD to figure out different avenues to success because of their lack of $ resources and it benefitted them in the long run because they are more successful than almost all the big market teams.

@SamOlbur There is no amount of signing players that will help this team, their offense was unbelievably good at times even without Tucker hitting last year. That 8 homer game last year? Tucker didn’t touch a ball that day. The offense is slumping and they won’t be soon. It is what it is

Yeah but they tried to get that star last year and it imploded. How many "true stars" are out there that can carry a team these days? Gotta develop better players.
