@ratmannx @NYYUNDERGROUND Man, life must be miserable for fans like you. Living in the ifs. They are on top, sure they have challenges so does every other team. They are built to go far & they will. You watch.

Fans are not the problem. Fans are just tired of watching the same thing happen over and over. No urgency. No accountability. Same Yankees. #yankeestwitter #yankees #mlb

Well Cody, here’s the thing: Cincy’s total attendance of 177,000 represents approximately 7.6% of the Cincy metro areas population of 2.3M while Utah State’s total of 146,000 represents approximately 104.3% of Cache Valley’s population of 144K
Cody Hinson@cohinson10

@Aggiealltheway2 Explains why it’s bee nearly a decade since UC made the tournament yet still out drew Utah State this season herosports.com/cbb-attendance…

Yeah I don't believe this for a second... But I'm torn... Because if the roles were reversed & this was said about Boise State instead of USU you know the Hurd would treat this as gospel & be all decked out in Pavia gear for our game 😂
College Transfer Portal@CollegeFBPortal

NEW: Last year, Diego Pavia overheard a Utah State coach on speakerphone telling Vanderbilt players to transfer. The coach called Pavia “shit, terrible, fat, and unable to run.” Pavia then scored on every drive and Vandy put up 55 points against Utah State 😳

@Tundra_Strong @For3JT I get what you’re saying. I’m being sarcastic because although it’s heading in that direction, college sports has a long way to go until they can do things entirely like the pros.

I completely disagree. All I’ve heard over and over is that programs and player reps are in constant communication long before the portal opens. He knows his market - I would be shocked if he comes back and if he does and he’s playing the leverage game then that’s lame imo
Jonathan Tavernari@For3JT

In my personal opinion: He’s entering the portal to see what the market offers to then use it as leverage with BYU. I have zero problem with this. That is the reality we live in today.

I don't blame Rob Wright for this. The problem with asking questions about a player's future, right after the season ended, is that at the time it probably was true in Rob's mind. But things can change. Especially when you're 19 years-old, figuring out life. No hard feelings
Ben Criddle@CriddleBenjamin

🚨Rob Wright III has entered the portal 🚨 Quote from a post season interview locker room interview. "If I'm in a college jersey, I'll be attending BYU for sure" - Rob Wright III Is this just a leverage move? Negotiating tactics of the modern era?

@erc95 @For3JT That is one of a plethora of examples. Leverage is everything in negotiations. Sure, you can act in good faith, but rest assured you will be giving a discount, rather than securing a raise by taking it to the market.

@erc95 @For3JT Potential & my agent doesn't get a bigger pay day. Aaron Judge pinned the SG Giants against the Yanks & by some estimates locked down an extra $75 mil. What would you do with an extra 75 mil?

@Tundra_Strong @For3JT Agree to disagree. You can leverage in better ways - if he’s doing it for leverage to come back (which to be clear, I don’t think he is, I think he’s out).

@erc95 @For3JT Nah, it's done all over professional sports & in business. He would be stupid not to use every advantage at his disposal. It's not like this happens every day of your life. He is smart for doing this.

@For3JT I’m not saying it’s lame to get more money, I’m saying it’s lame to go to the portal to do that. Hitting the portal and making your leverage public when your true intentions is to stay is lame. You can figure these things out behind closed doors.

@Aggiealltheway2 I agree. Calhoun baked this in his approach to keep him. Make him a starter, show some of his flashes. Calhoun ups the value so it makes it unaffordable to keep him. I am telling you, Calhoun is a snake. The fact that he had his own cheer is besides me. No coach should have that

gonna give him big money but still have to develop him. I think he takes a step up next year but he only averaged 6 ppg. I think we can get 2 or 3 more experienced (but less future potential) guys for his price. USU shouldn’t pay big money for potential that might be years out.

Look, I love what Elamin did for USU last year and it’d suck to see him wear another jersey but if we are truly spending our budget wisely I don’t think Elamin is the option. Commentators in March drove his value way up. He has potential but it’s not realized yet. Someone is

@BradenTClark @DeadAirwithJDW I like it, but hopefully we can land at least 2 older players to get some veteran leadership & have an impact right away. Replacing Allen, King & MJs production will be tough.

@codiki @t_creer54 So did Sam Merrill, you know that guy that is ripping it up in Cleveland? He set the bar & taught Aggies that you can make it out of little Logan & don't need to go the school of "resources" to be successful. The environment that USU has is often immitated, never duplicated.

@Tundra_Strong @t_creer54 Templin was told he’d only be guaranteed a rotational role here and Mason obviously has massive ties to the state, church etc. he was always a pipe dream but they had to try

@codiki @t_creer54 I wasn't a fan of his. That is well documented. He throws players under the bus & pouts like a little pimple face teenager. You will find out. If he is so great, why didn't Mason & Templin follow? People don't quit on their team, they quit on their coach.

@Tundra_Strong @t_creer54 Dude the stadium was full with a lame duck coach that was an underachiever for 5 years. He’s a #Bearcats alumni and that place will be full every game. Funny how much y’all didn’t like him “under the surface” after he was gone.

@codiki @t_creer54 Haha go ahead, have all your "resources" only to cheer on an occasional win. We will enjoy the wonderful successes with our "resources" that kept our 2 biggest prizes. These boys get to play in the spectrum, get paid their worth & enjoy post season ball, potentially move onto NBA
