@Variety That's disappointing, considering How To Train Your Dragon too was pretty much shot-to-shot remake with some stuff added/deleted and still earned four times of its budget, but it's still been just a few days already, meaning that it may earn a little more than it already has.

@Variety I know it's about the people having their own fair thoughts, but god, how there's so much of bad taste and massive lack of open-minded thoughts that this is the result of Moana remake.

“Moana” needs at least $600 million to break even in theaters but only opened to $95M worldwide. The live-action remake could now lose more than $100 million theatrically. “The takeaway for Disney has to be, how long does it take for an animated film to become a classic? As we just saw, it’s not about how successful the last film in the series is,” says David A.
