If rumours of a £7m wage cap for Sheffield Wednesday in League One are true, these are comparable wages from that division in 2023/24. Not all clubs published wage data as some use a loophole to avoid disclosure.

The whole "be patient and wait and see narrative" is a little harsh on us Wednesday fans. We have been put through the ringer in the last 5 or 6 seasons by a regime that didnt care about us or our club and our club is on the brink. Desperation is a natural act

I always tell my clients, the highest bidder isn’t always the best bidder to accept. You have to look at the bigger picture and not just the offer price.
